  1. That turned out pretty well. It's a pretty good kit to start with and you made some excellent changes.
  2. Your love for this project shows in your craftsmanship. Well done my friend. It's a beaut.
  3. Fantastic! Are you kidding me?
  4. Bummer. Not an "A" lister, but he was magnetic. Natural acting chops that was a pleasure to watch.
  5. Wow. Stunning.
  6. Looked good at GSL. My GF liked it immediately and is in her facebook gallery of our trip. Nice work.
  7. Heh-heh, general cleanup. I've got no problem looking at this again. Hey Chuck, did you ever do a tutorial on your rusting? It's always spot on and I suspect some of it may be simpler than I think it is. I'd love to know your technique.
  8. That's a goll darned crispy clean build there. Excellent.
  9. Very clever. Nicely thought out my man.
  10. Looks like the kind of era-specific builds you see in the Model Car Museum. Why was the striped corduroy so popular? I've got a couple stray parts like that in my accumulated parts box.
  11. Translated. Very interesting. Thank you for posting. Krakowskie PrzedmieĊ›cie 2020 Famous Warsaw street in Poland, here the so-called " Smolensk monthly, officially in honor of those who died on April 10, 2010 in the plane crash TU 154 M. In fact, these are brutal political agitating performances of the current Polish government. Excuse me for writing in Polish, but I know that it is possible to translate. Use translator, I will be very grateful. The inscription on the blackboard reads: "Liberator - Sovereign." Sovereign - this is the favorite word of the present power. I could not stop myself and I did this diorama. Extremely barbaric Barbarian from Scibor Miniatures and some non-business.
  12. Kind words Zen. Thanks, much appreciated. Good luck on your beavers, donks and trannies.
  13. My problem is my simple box builds become complex. It just happens!
  14. Some seriously cool looking things going on here. On the occasion of the 10th running of this CPB I must publicly express my gratitude to Jantrix for creating a thread that motivated me to return to modeling after about ten years. I don't build a lot, so most of my completed builds lately have been Cannonball cars. I made my one and probably only trip to GSLMCC XXVI a couple weeks ago where Len Woodruff selected my 2012 Cannonballer for the Bob Barnett Award for custom car building. A humbling surprise. So kudos to Rob and the rest of you knuckleheads who lay out the kind of jolly competition that makes me try a little harder. Thanks guys.
  15. Neat photos, thanks for posting Mike.
  16. Razer sharp Tom, razer sharp.
  17. X2. Your Indy cars from the muscle car era are a delight to see because you execute the crafting of them so well. That goes for your other subjects as well, so I look forward to see what you come up with next.
  18. X2. They are museum quality and interest in them will likely extend beyond the modeling community. I would even consider contacting a nationally established auction house and get their feedback. Be sure to offer continuity to them, like who he was, his role at Model Cars Magazine and his published material. I would do that before scattering them on ebay.
  19. Magnifique. Vos projets toujours l'air si bon.
  20. The full roof decal looked fine, but it didn't contribute so much that you couldn't go without it. Still looks racy. If you're using laser printer decals, the ink tends to flake off if you do tight cutting with a knife.
  21. My optimistic gut feeling is that it's sitting in a room somewhere unopened. That it slipped through the cracks somewhere between the host club and the hotel and is essentially in someone's no-mans land. I'd push the search again next April when people start pulling boxes out and someone says, "What the...?"
  22. Yeah, really nice. Definitely good in white.
  23. Another stellar presentation. Hard to believe that kit's that old already.
