Model Builders' Warehouse; serious kudos
Randy D replied to aurfalien's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thank you Brian !!!! When I first contacted Jeremy from 'Clearly Scale' about stocking his products he did bring up that he would like to be able to devote more time for R & D and step back from some of the daily selling and shipping. Randy -
Hi Folks, The first shipment from 'Clearly Scale' has landed and are ready for purchase !!!! The products include 15 engine kits, 4 sets of brakes, 18 pairs of seats, detail wire in 9 colors, a set of fluid reservoirs and a Optima battery set. To see the new parts click on 'Detail Parts' then chose 'All' Please ignore any text about shipping costs in the product photos as some of the these photos were borrowed from the Clearly Scale site. The parts that Jeremy from Clearly Scale casts are truly outstanding and the pictures do not do them justice. I'm putting in my next order from Clearly Scale this week so if you see something on Jeremy's store site that you want please drop me a note. http://clearlyscale.com http://modelbuilderswh.com Harold from Historic Racing Miniatures is getting caught up on our restock orders so we should be seeing less of those 'sold out ' notes on products this week. Thanks to you all for making our opening of the store a big success !!!! Randy

Hi Folks, I thank all who took the time to comment Kerry, you would have to pick that out I've been putting off addressing those tires. that seam is actually a groove and with the rubber being very soft it's going to be a real pain to remove enough material to even them out. At least with Tamiya's way of mounting the wheels I can pull them off later to fix them ( how about we call those 'wear indicators' ) Bruce, That really small wire came out of my model train parts box. It is a braided wire (six really tiny wires) I will try to come up with a supplier. Found a helmet in the parts box that I could modify. The visor is cut from gold Mylar sheet that came from the craft store..... All the body parts are now glued in. Over all fit is pretty good. I need to work on the doors a little as they could close a little tighter. Still need to stick the mirrors on and decide how much more of the cf decals to put on.... Thanks for looking in ! Randy

Hi Folks, Ben, Appreciate it as always Sir ! Hi Brian, Thank you Thank you Dan !! The last project on this one is to give the cockpit a race car flavor. Looked at a lot of different LeMans cars and used this reference pic for the main inspiration for my efforts. I really liked the hi tech water bottle/thermos thingy that is hooked up to the driver's helmet....

HRM's gt40 engine and chassis kit
Randy D replied to twopaws's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hi Craig, First off, Thank you purchasing the HRM set I do not know of the build thread you are thinking of but I think I need to start a new section on my store site for people to post builds of these products! If you have any questions about building HRM stuff please call Harold. He is just the nicest fellow you will ever talk to and he will help you out (number is on the box) JC, Do you know if all the Fujimi GT40 versions share the same chassis? Could you use this HRM set to put an engine in any of them ? Randy -
Looks Great Matt !!!!! I've always thought of silver in this time frame as a Porsche color but you really pulled it off on a Ferrari. Randy ( And I, for one, really appreciate your recent acquisition spree! )

Hi Folks, Thank you Kevin, my apologies for not replying sooner. They hose clamps are pe by Detail Master with the screw part from a short piece of nickel silver tubing and a RBMotion socket head screw stuck in it. Thanks Tim!! Appreciate JC!
