  1. Wow! Great job, love the color and the interior looks great! Love Tri-5 Chevys!
  2. The 66's I have are coupes. I am pretty sure the AMT roadster had plastic slicks like the 67's. It is possible that the slicks in my unbuilt '66 are not correct to the kit. I checked them earlier and they are the 9.00×15 slicks but are hard plastic-like vinyl.
  3. They weren't in the '69 I built in 1969, and they're not in the mint unbuilt '66 in my collection. The slicks on the left are definitely the ones that came in later issue Trophy Series kits. I have a '64 and a '66 Corvette, both original built up drag cars and AMTs, that had the ones on the right on them. It may be possible they came in that era Corvette. I have an original unbuilt AMT '66 and it has similar slicks, but they are not softer rubber. It is possible that the built ups had parts pack tires on them, but they were built pretty much from the box and didn't have any other added parts that I could see.
  4. I got mine from Ballzanos too.
  5. Got mine today, both were ok. This might have been mentioned elsewhere, but they were not wrapped in cellophane. I thought maybe the dealer sent me opened kits, but they had little tape circles to seal the box on both ends that look like they came from the factory. Looks good overall. I like these old Monogram kits, simple but fun and they generally go together easily. Only thing that I don't like about this kit, besides the obvious wheels, is the stupid looking rear bumper. I'll need to change that. I have one from the stepside version around here somewhere! ?
  6. Beautiful! Love the color! Nice detail!

    1969 COPO

    Nice!
  8. That is super nice! The right parts, right stance, great build!
  9. Great job! I love the color and I really like what you did with the wood. Very simple, but it looks a lot better than many I have seen that look over done. Also like the Corvette wheel covers. The whole car has a very correct late 50's early 60's vibe.
  10. Wow! Great job!
  11. Wow! Beautiful model, great engine detail!
  12. Very nice job!
  13. That is really cool! It would be great to have a kit of the Cheetah, but I guess if it hasn't happened yet.....It's not likely....☹
  14. Beautiful job! Love the color!
  15. $14 a case for promos and $13 a case for kits.....wonder if we can still sign up! ?
  16. Awesome build! Love the idea behind it and the stance, color and overall quality are top notch!
  17. That's cool! Like the Northstar motor! Those things were pretty quick in heavy Cadillacs, I would think they would run really well in a Fiero!
  18. Wow! Super job !

    '68 Charger

Super job! The question is, how did you shrink a real car to 1/25? ?
  20. That is very nice! Great color, stance and chop!
  21. People used custom hubcaps back in that time. You could also get them from other cars ie: Lancer, Cadillac, etc. A day 2 circa 1955? Depends on what part of the country. West coast nose dropped a bit. Custom caps, maybe a custom grille, dual exhaust, maybe cut outs, maybe a hotter cam, tuck and roll upholstery, pinstriping. East coast probably would sit level or maybe slightly dropped in the tail. Same stuff as above but with skirts, dual spots. Painted black steel wheels with polished or chromed lug nuts were big, but that might have been later 50's, early 60's. And a street car would have wide whites all around.
  22. I have had the one about not being prepared for a class or not knowing you were enrolled in it until the final, many times since 1991, when I graduated college. Also have had one about my teeth cracking and crumbling out of my mouth many times. There has also been a series of snake related ones, usually with me not seeing them at first because they are camouflaged. Another one is thin worms, or maybe they are vines, poke through my finger tips and start growing uncontrollably. And since my dad died in 2012, I have had reoccurring dreams about him. Both good and bad. He died of cancer and it was horrible. At first the dreams were bad. But after a while they were better, but it is tough when you wake up and you realize he is still dead.
  23. That would be Supertramp: Child of Vision and Take the Long Way Home.
  24. What style of build are you going for? Maybe I can help you out with rear tires. Send me a PM.
