  1. You're offending rats
  2. IIRC from the 1:1 I once owned, the surround was anodized aluminum and the grille insert was grey plastic. The paint surrounding the headlamps was silver. I used some Ford "argent" wheel paint to re-do it and it matched pretty well.
  3. Mmmmmmm, with butter
  4. What this car means to me, by Rodent: Friend's dad had one, badly faded and was probably Saddle Tan. First 3-on-the-tree that I can ever remember riding in, but the linkage was pretty worn out, and the 1-2 never seemed to be very smooth. Starting was intermittent at best. He was divorced, and was the custodial parent. The two younger kids (girls) were his, but my friend was adopted when the dad married my friend's mom. Crappy situation with the mom, for sure. In late 1969, he bought a new Glacial Blue 4-door '70 Coronet with a white vinyl top and a blue interior. It was a V8, probably a 318, and it had ice cold AC. Shoulder harnesses! All of a sudden we didn't have to ride in the wagon anymore. Joy!! New MOPAR!! I will get one of these Nova kits, but it won't be Saddle Tan.
  5. My LHS has just started getting in some of the "higher numbered" TS-xx paint within the last few weeks. I had never seen these before, but I am always looking for interesting colors. Thanks for the info, y'all are a fountain of knowledge.....
  6. Was at the LHS earlier, and picked up (and put right back down) a can of Tamiya TS-84 metallic gold. I haven't seen it before, but noticed that it was marked $21. Chatted with the counter lizard, and he confirmed the price. Checked on the Tamiya website, and he is correct. I see some others on the site with MSRP of $10.50- $11.00 as well. I like the convenience and performance of their rattle cans, but it may be time to get reacquainted with Mr. Paasche.
  7. without other clothing
  8. Modelmaster lacquers are the only ones I have had the issue with. I have some "regular" Testors and some MM enamels that are closing in on 30 years old and they aren't leaking.
  9. In the dark ages, before odometers were digital, The dealership I worked for bought some low mileage auction cars that were eventually found to have tampered odometers. They were all traced to the same wholesaler in Floriduh. Dealership did the standup thing and offered cash to the buyers or a full-price refund for the cars (I think there were 5-6 of them).
  10. Paul has his resin Thunderbird available in kit form now. I realize that it isn't a full-detail Revell kit from Hobby Lobby, but it's probably all we will ever see of the subject matter.... https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_ssn=robbbbbb57
  11. Tamiya red primer is as good as their other colors, but I hate paying $15/can for it.
  12. She looks a little uncomfortable, as she should be. She is hanging on to two creatures that could really tear her up.......
  13. get some Preparation-H
  14. In the early 90s, I rented a fairly new condo in a small complex. One afternoon there was a "maintenance man" changing light bulbs and making minor repairs to the common area. Older guy, wearing the jumpsuit type of coveralls. Strange thing was that his bulbs and other supplies were in one of these turbo Supras, and it badly needed a wash. Thought he was a pretty well paid maintenance guy to be driving a $40k car. He came over and chatted me up about my Fox body Mustang and my '68 Mustang in the garage. Turns out that he was the owner of my block and one other and didn't trust the property management company to keep up the place. Always thought these were cool looking cars and this looks like a nice kit. Do wish it had the choice of LHD though.
  15. Sorry that I waited so long, and now it isn't your birthday anymore in the UK, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I really enjoy your posts.

Thank you,  had a pretty good day, although I did have plans for doing something special, but Covid 19 had different ideas, looks like I'll pushing the boat out for my 60th.

  16. Yeah, I would be interested in a Nova or two and a LeMans. I did a ride-along with Sacramento County Sheriff in one of these olive green piles of junk as an 18 year old. This was before the law was passed that allowed emergency vehicles in California to be 49-state certified, so the car I rode in was equipped with the wheezy 403 Olds powerplant. Was kind of fun, we did a 10-plus mile code 3 ride to the scene of an armed robbery. Lots of Quadrajet air sucking noise, siren, not much speed. The 302-4V 4-speed 68 Mustang I left in the parking lot would have spanked the LeMans Enforcer HARD, I think.... Please post updated info on how to buy from the Arizona Den of Amazing Resin.
