Some good advice on here, thanks. It sounds like even when taking the age of the Purple Pond into account, it won't work with Plastikote. I'll try Easy Off.
Title pretty much says it all. About 2-3 years ago, I primed a body with grey plastikote primer. Left it alone after that but I want to strip it now since it wasn't my best primer job. It's been sitting in a bath of purple pond for the last 2 days but nothing has happened. The purple pond is about 4 years old and has been used before. Any tips? Thank you in advance.
Outstanding build! I'm actually working on a 1993 B4C using the same kit as well. It's going to be a Colorado State Patrol car. One question though: How did you get the wheels to look the way they do now?
Looks good! If you're truly not happy with the BMF, you can at least remove the foil around the wheel wells. The 1978's didn't have chrome around the wheels.
Just wanted to refer to you guys to a new 3D aftermarket producer:
https://zforcemodelworx.com/
He's only got a few things right now, but I know this will interest many of you:
He has a lot of other projects planned for down the road. I ordered a few grills and a pair of wheels from him and they arrived a few days later. Extremely nice product and a great guy to deal with. Highly recommended!
I'm not sure what it would have to do with Facebook. The private messaging system is part of this forum, not facebook or anything else. Is your inbox full? We can always correspond by email if you wish.
By the looks of his pictures, his work is EXCELLENT. However, I won't buy from him unless he does full kits. He's said for years now that he would do interiors, but he hasn't yet. I'm not sure what his long term plans are.
