Nice! Great take on a classic kit! -

Apologizing for Ozzie

I totally get it. There are vehicles that I don’t have the slightest interest in that would be an unpleasant chore to work on. It’s a hobby, it’s supposed to be fun !

I was hoping someone would get it!?

Ollie’s paint score!!!

I bought what you see here at the Pottstown Pennsylvania Ollies a week ago. Wouldn’t ya know, no white primer.. I went to Pep Boys and paid retail for that one today! -
Very cool! Was it painted that light blue before you touched it? This one, which I immediately thought of when I saw yours, was a junker in this same blue. I couldn’t find a Testors spray that matched but there was a flat blue bottle that I used for my touch up work.

Here in Pennsylvania about a half hour west of Philadelphia, masks and distancing are the law. People seem to get it, I was out today with no problems. The only issue is that people are getting antsy and there’s a lot more folks out and about. And I worry what all the protests will spread. Our proximity to New Jersey and New York, as well as infections in Philadelphia put us here at risk. Enough people here work in those areas to cross pollinate us. Our infection rate has been low and people understand our cooperation has been a factor

I have building a photo back drop on my long list of projects. I know I will enjoy doing it since a scratch build a lot of accessories already.

You need to look at the assembly of each specific kit. You need to make sure that there aren’t steps in between that wouldn’t be able to be done. For instance with the chassis and cage assembled can you still assemble the interior? Or will the seat not fit between the cage bars? I once assembled a chassis and found the engine and headers needed to be in place before a top rail was installed.

The baby moons from the Deora kit... I once had a bunch of Deora kits I bought for the slant 6 engines.. but procrastination is my friend! Polar Lights came out with the 64 Dodge and Plymouth with the best slant ever in a kit. So I sold off the sealed Deoras. -
People are idiots. There was a guy who sold an item in a mint box and plastered the mailing label on it. Or the guy who sold me a 1962 Chrysler convertible built up and slammed it into a bubble mailer, assuring the windshield would get broke.

A few new Round 2 kit coming out ......
Tom Geiger replied to Mr mopar's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I didn’t realize it hadn’t been out in that long! They are still cheap and available at swap meets. I had bought two for $5 each, so I did one as my 24 Hour Build for 2018. Being creative, it wouldn’t take much work to bring it out as the Mitsubishi version.. new grill, body logos.. and you’d have a brand new kit for the Japanese car guys Not a bad little kit. Has a lot of detail on chassis and engine. Kept thinking the chassis would work under a street rod. I had it sitting on a 40 Ford Sedan Delivery and it sat there like it belonged! -

My day kinda sorta sucked! My wife wakes me up early that there is a puddle in front of the dishwasher. I hope water connection is dripping and can be tightened... nope! It’s dripping above the connection so it’s the pump. 15 year old unit is not worth pulling out to replace a pump, so new dishwasher it is! Then the mail arrives. I get a renewal notice on insurance that we cancelled in February when we sold the house. Nope! Allstate says it wasn’t cancelled and I made a couple of calls between a broker and corporate to get it cancelled and refund back to the date it was closed. Still don’t know the final outcome. Then I go grocery shopping. I get home and realize I left my phone in the little basket on top of the cart. I run back and was fortunate that someone turned it in. At least that worked out.
