Going beyond wheels, take a look at the chassis. AMT 71 Duster or RM 68/69 Dart have great full detail chassis and engine bay detail. Once you have the car sitting on a better chassis, take a look at the wheels and tires in these kits.
Fun! You have me wanting to push aside my current Jeepster project and pull out my Model A and T parts boxes!
And per finding unusual engines I have a Jeep / Buick V6 that’s not doing nuthin!
I am pleased that we slipped house arrest and visited with my daughters and the grand babies yesterday. It was our 39th anniversary and we practiced social distancing, sitting in the yard. It was wonderful to get away from current affairs.
The twins eating cookies. They are notably bigger than we last saw the close to 3 months ago.
Don’t forget the two vertical chrome strips on the rear window. A couple of thin Evergreen strips chromed, I’d just glue with canopy cement to the rear glass once it’s installed.
I drove one of those briefly in Jamaica many years ago. I was interested in all the interesting cars I saw there. I even have photos of an Australian Valiant. It was also interesting that the taxis were all Chevy Malibu’s. Now I realize they were probably those Iraqi Taxis dumped here from Canada. LHD cars in a RHD country.
There was a Hertz car rental up the road from our resort. I walked there and asked to rent the Granada. I drove it around locally for maybe a half hour and brought it back. That confused the counter guy. I explained that I was a car enthusiast and just wanted to drive an interesting car, especially since I had never driven RHD before.
The guy asked me if there was anything else I wanted to drive? He let me test drive another couple cars including a Toyota van with 5 speed on the column.
