  1. Lots of kits with similar wheels, shouldn't be too hard to source some. For a snorkel scoop you mentioned earlier, will the one from the AMT 57 vette street machine work for you? If so, PM me your address, and I'll send you one.
  2. Going to look like a real street machine, but if I may say, I think your front tires are just a bit too large. They look "over-scaled" in the photo, and it may just be a photographic anomaly, but they appear "balloonish" in those wheel openings. Otherwise, your mockup has a very strong muscle car stance!
  3. Nice example of a simple yet effective background. Nice job, and thanks for sharing it!
  4. Is this the '68 tooling now sold as the AMT '68, or did both companies do '68 Camaros? I don't recall ever seeing this version, either. This has become one of my favorite pieces of box art! This is the sort of thing that would have made me as a kid WANT this kit! This has that "coooool" factor in large doses, and does so simply. Excellent rendering; the artist is to be commended.
  5. This turned out VERY nice. Good work, beautiful model. Well done.
  6. Nice build, especially precise work on foiling the letters on that quarter panel! (...or is that Molotow?)
  7. Intense color! Looks good. Well done.
  8. The engineering on this is fantastic! Beautiful model.
  9. Fun project, but I'm digging the box art car! Do you still have those parts?
  10. Beautiful build! Love the 41 trucks, and this is a nice twist; very unique. Well done.
  11. That's hilarious! Nice build, great color. Well done.
  12. What a jewel! Nice work, it looks just right!
  13. Fantastic model! Details are uber-realistic, and the choice of subject makes for an outstanding display with its strong colors. Beautiful.
  14. Ha! It's been windy here (central KY) for the last two months, got to be the windiest Spring in ages!
  15. Looks like the paint laid out beautifully. Very nice looking in silver.
  16. Wow! That is such a good looking car; both the real thing and your well-constructed model. Your color mix is particularly nice. Very well done.
  17. Mustangs had the top sides of their wings painted with a silver dope at production, which was worked over the surface to fill and smooth any rivets and any non-removable panel lines, in accordance with the laminar flow properties of the wing design. It was for aerodynamics, and the stuff dulled almost immediately once subjected to the sunlight and weather. It is well documented, and often overlooked in P-51 builds, as people get excited about re-creating shiny metal panels!
  18. You can use pretty much any silver you may have IF you top it with some Testors Dulcote or Flat Clear to flatten it. Otherwise, Testors makes a Flat Aluminum in the little square bottles that is fine, and Krylon Dull Aluminum is a good spray paint in the large cans. Really plenty to choose from. If you already have your Tamiya silver and Krylon Chrome, just get some compatible clear flat, and you're good to go!
  19. Super nice build. Very attractive color scheme, and the engine is wicked! Well done.
  20. Beautiful work, and tons of fun; a real grinner!
  21. Fantastic build. Love the engineering and concept behind this. Cool color, too!
  22. That's a good looking racer! Well done.

Sweeet! While both look SO good, the color combo on the gold/red car is especially tasty to me. What gold paint did you use? I'm assuming the red is candy just sprayed over the gold color? Your experiment was a resounding success!
  24. This really turned out superbly. Great and unusual color, super clean build. Very well done!
