  1. Great to see these nicely executed stock builds! Well done.
  2. Excellent engine and bay detailing.
  3. So far so good!
  4. Having fun is exhausting these days.
  5. Ha! Wow, I don't know how I missed that. Thanks for telling me anyway!
  6. I retracted the post you quoted, look back and check out the link I replaced it with, it's got lots of good info. I just had to dig deeper! I think the years must make a difference on some points,as the chassis shots I posted were definitely from a 64 or 65. According to the discussion over on the Buick forum, it looks like the fuel line goes iINSIDE the frame most of the way, but there's good description of where it comes out, transitions to flexible rubber line, etc.. Will be watching!
  7. Really looking nice! What a great looking automobile. You're doing it justice!
  8. Glad to find this thread, those are beautiful! Very nice display.
  9. OK, found some info to settle this! Check this out: https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1966-riviera-fuel-line-routing.280366/
  10. Good question. I'd be wary of this as a reference based on it being someone's "restoration", and may not be prototypically correct. It certainly looks like a fuel line, though; too big for brake. Has me wondering!
  11. Plowboy's right on target. It will take a little slicing and dicing to get it more prototypically correct, but there's a lot of good stuff here to work with. I'm just glad no one had the idea to turn the tool into a convertible when the original problem was found. I've got Monogram 55-57 Chevies in my collection, hellz, I've even got a Lindberg 48 Lincoln, so I'm no stranger to cutting plastic; that's part of the hobby to me. Some kits look good, some look really good, but all can be made better. I'll be getting one or two of these.
  12. I love this kind of build, because it reminds me of how so many real jalopies were cobbled together! Very cool use of parts and pieces, and looks very authentic. Well done.
  13. Phenomenal model. What is the scale?
  14. I really like the lines of this little beast! Nice work on your kit.
  15. The toned-down metal finishes look SO good with the flat black body, giving an even more menacing look. Nicely done!
  16. Very nice job; a good clean build. Looks right on, very realistic. Love red interior for white cars!
  17. NICE job. Looks way better than the box art! That's a real looker.
  18. I suppose the little cutie on the side can always find work on the mud flap of an 18-wheeler...
  19. Red oxide for GM as a rule of thumb, at least in that time period. Watch your lines! Check the reference photos above, you'll see the rear brake and fuel lines don't follow the x-frame, but hug the inside of the driver's side rocker panel. ( Safely away from those hot exhaust pipes! ) Chassis is looking SWEET, though! Dark red interior is just sexy.
  20. Very nicely done; a showplace of paint weathering techniques. Good stuff!
  21. Bumper might have just a little excess curvature, bout the body is blunted and too flat where the trim crosses across the back. It should be a gentle arc both upward and backward. Notice how the side trim sweeps upward as it rounds the quarter; the model is incorrectly done there, too. I would add some plastic across the rear and shape it to more closely follow the bumper line. It's a custom, so if you put a little "extra" curve there, no one can fault you! Very cool project, I've got an Imperial custom project going myself, so this really grabbed my attention. I'll post it down the road, but I've got a '58 Plymouth to whip first! Will be following...
  22. Didn't Tamiya make the Ford Sierra? At least, some version of it that maybe you could modify?
  23. There's some interesting custom pieces pictured with that '64. I don't think I've EVER seen those. Later releases certainly didn't have them. Are they original to that kit, or just boxed with it from another source? I'd love to get my paws on those!
  24. Looks nice in yellow! Inspired by the box art, maybe?! (At least one boxing showed a yellow car on one side of the box) Did you intend to leave the grille surround unpainted/ non-foiled? Car looks NICE either way! Beautiful car, beautiful model. Well done.
  25. Very cool rod! Nice color scheme. Well done.
