  1. Excellent build, and great job on your color mix! That's a standout machine.
  2. That looks like they used extra red pigment in the plastic! Good looking cars, though, and blue will be a shocking change from the ultra-red, in a good way!
  3. Very happy that worked out for you. No real problems?
  4. Glad you revived this one! Love me some squarebirds, and I was digging the Vette caps on it. On those gold wheels it occurs to me you might cut one down by cutting away the rim and filing the center diameter to drop into one of the stock rims that you file the center out of, then cast copies.
  5. Nice use of color; a very wicked looking racer!
  6. That interior is impressive in its realism!
  7. Beautiful, clean model with a realistic stance. Very nice job all around! One to be proud of for sure.
  8. It's a great looking display! The base and groundwork give it a strong sense of reality ( along with all your meticulous detail work ). Well done.
  9. That minty green '53 is going to look gorgeous!
  10. Worth doing! Tweak your suspension a bit, since you'd be putting a 119" wheelbase frame under a 117" wheelbase body. Biggest visual difference is the gas tank area. 65 has conventional wide, flat tank and 66 has spare tire well and conformal tank to match. Just cut and pasted that area of the floor. It would be a huge detail improvement underneath! Jim, I now return your thread to its regular schedule! I am looking forward to this build; these are some of the crown jewels of GM as far as I'm concerned!
  11. Nice, realistic build. Great job, as others have stated, on the rust/stains.
  12. Groovy! Great color that works well with the graphic stripes. What a cool collection of '70s rides! Pure nostalgia, man. Thanks for sharing.
  13. She's a beauty, all right! That color is so rich and perfectly applied. Very well done.
  14. This has really been a fun project to follow, and is looking SO good!
  15. Nice model, and super interesting bit of racing history! Anyone know if there was ever a 1/25 or 1/24 kit made of this car?
  16. That's sharp! Perfect color on the car for gold lettering; it just looks "racy" and right!
  17. +1 on your color mix; beautiful and unexpected color! Engine bay is quite realistic. Your hood fit is not objectionable at all, the model looks really nice. Well done.
  18. Man, that is just excellent use of parts box stuff! KOOOOOOL!
  19. Very nice! At 1/32 scale, there's all kinds of detailing possibilities, a guy could go nuts in the cockpit alone. Bravo on your choice of this workhorse of a plane, and looking forward to seeing your progress.
  20. There was a release with stock wheels (hubcaps), but it's harder to come by for some reason.
  21. That thing is just FUNKY KOOL. I love everything about it! What a blast!
  22. HA! It just looks like atmospheric reflections that make make jet black have bluish highlights! Close enough for me - I still love it.
  23. So sharp! In my book, you can't go wrong black with red interior! These bodies are just so handsome; always thought the mid-size Buicks were HIGHLY underrated. Great save.
  24. That really is a good looking, subtle color. May I ask what it is?
