  1. That is one sharp pickup! The silver looks quite nice.
  2. Looks absolutely beautiful in black! Haven't seen one built stock in a long time, which is a shame because it can look so good.
  3. Very sharp drag racer! Well done.
  4. Heck yeah, +1 for your color mix! Very cool.
  5. The color is gorgeous, the build is super clean, but it's the realistic metallic finishes that really sell this build for me! Shows how good a simple kit CAN look.
  6. Already looks nice in pearl gold! Following ...
  7. Nice! I like to add a few small details to these over-the-top customs myself. It adds some credibility as a potential real show-rod. Good job on yours!
  8. Ha! not this one, but I do have one or two in the stash! Years ago, K-B Toys stores were blowing these out for $2.99, and i got a couple just for the hot rod parts; wheels/tires, fenders, chrome goodies, etc. I will buy anything plastic; I got issues...?
  9. Takes me longer to BUY one. Inspirational builds!
  10. Yep, that's just KOOL. The green is deep and gorgeous; I gotta borrow that formula! Fun use of spare parts to make a period kustom that looks straight from the "little pages" of the '60s.
  11. Sharp build!
  12. Another beauty! Paint is very well done.
  13. Very cool project!
  14. Good model building happening here! Lots to learn from a project like this, and I applaud your dedication to getting it right.
  15. I believe Poppy Red is a Ford color, so a no-no for a Chevy man! It's also a bright orangish red, where Dale's car would have been a more crimson sort of red. Good ol' Testors red in the little bottles would be closer to correct, I think. Gurus here can help you more on that detail.
  16. Probably more than a few of us have some of those from the Monogram 70 Chevelle kits.
  17. Looks like the guy that restored the turquoise car was trying a little too hard for a "precision" fit. That close tuck doesn't give you any leeway in even a light impact. The yellow looks spot on to me.
  18. Another cool drag racer! Love that blue, but the Seaton's Shaker is still my favorite! ( Just love the color combo of it ) You're going to have a heck of a nice display of all these cover cars.
  19. Great looking over all, the color is especially nice. What paint did you use, may I ask?
  20. She's a beauty! Artistic license, or did he run a pink/fuchsia fade job at some time?
  21. Nice job! One of those kits everyone should have a copy or two of.
  22. What a cool memory, a photo to keep it alive in 2D, and a model to keep the memory in 3D! Beautiful 2-tone color choices; that had to be a sharp car, even in an era of sharp cars. Well done.
  23. Looks nice! Shades of green seem hot this year, and that one's a beauty. Cool traditional custom.
