  1. Nice! Love that green, and how the gold lettering works with it. Gorgeous color, good clean build. Well done.
  2. Looking GOOD! Love the stance, and your planned colors sound sharp either way you go. Will be watching...
  3. Really liking this, and that yellow is growing on me!
  4. Maybe it's your photography, but those door panels have a really nice, leathery appearance! What paint did you use for your "simple black"?
  5. Even Testors SILVER enamel?! I thought that took decades to dry...?
  6. Interesting. You may have run up against an acrylic (water-based) paint job there. I have stripped pre-painted Polar Lights brand pre-painted kits before with rubbing alcolhol. Buy the good stuff: 92% isopropyl, and not the cheaper 70% commonly seen. Soak the body in a couple bottles of that and I'd bet it comes clean. About the only thing to strip acrylic, I think, though others may offer some better solutions? Purple stuff won't do anything but clean the surface (as you found out) !
  7. Nice! I really like your interior work, especially the color choices.
  8. Nice, understated look, and a believable model. Good job!
  9. Very nice build, and your color choices are excellent. Really tasteful, and the chrome wheels look right at home! Very well done.
  10. Here's a goody; all interesting, but the clothing discussion starts about 8-1/2 minutes in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCre_Y6Rh24
  11. What a history! Baby blue though...I think I'd rather have had the brushed on red.?
  12. That was a pretty car for sure. Looks like maybe Tahitian Turquoise, very likely with a white interior as you've shown. Gorgeous color. I let a '66 Impala go years ago that I miss every time I see a '65 or '66.
  13. Sharp drag car, and those decals are NICE. May I ask where you found the decals?
  14. Very nice color, and a fun build. Congrats on reaching your goal for the build!
  15. Very nice! Hard to beat a metallic blue Impala. Curious as to what color code her car carried?
  16. Agreed! I'd be tempted to repaint the steelies with the same green in your logo. It's a shop truck; show the shop colors!
  17. Added and corrected details like you've done on this add up to such a better, more accurate model. Excellent modeling.
  18. I also like that you went with a painted bumper; looks proper for a GTO.
  19. Floorpan is looking good, got any pics of that painted body? Will be following along, always liked the Corvair body lines. Good model kit.
  20. Greetings from the correct side of the Ohio River, Kentucky! Seriously, good folks and interesting modelers here, all with something to share.
  21. Nice build, and your added foil work really sets it apart.
  22. That color really comes alive in the daylight. It appeared darker in the build pics! Really nice work on this one, and you nailed the stance, it has a realistic "sit" that looks showroom perfect. Well done.
  23. That is simply beautiful model building . Very subtle yet striking modifications, and the paintwork is gorgeous on both. I have a long-stalled extended cab '50 project myself, and I hope to achieve your level of success with it. VERY well done.
  24. Wow, those are some nasty sink marks! I have a couple of these in storage, bought when the tool was new, and I don't recall such issues, but this makes me want to dig 'em out and look. Kudos to Can-Con for pointing out the intake error; that would have been easy to overlook!
  25. I love it! It looks even better than expected, and I had high expectations! Fun stuff. Take your time on that pilot, and this will be such a nice display. You're making me want one or two of these...
