  1. Glad to see this one is back! I like your lighting idea, and was in fact looking at the pic with all the added teeth and thinking wouldn't it be cool to see an unearthly red glow behind them; maybe a red LED down in the throat out of direct sight?!
  2. I say, if you want a red and white car, build a red and white car! Do it YOUR way. Let's say you were a young man around the year 1971, and you bought a used '56 Ford that needed a repaint. Wouldn't you have had it painted red and white?! Model THAT car. Maybe you'd even add a few performance goodies under the hood, or some after-market wheels...?
  3. Nice build! That's a cool color scheme; let's see some more pics!
  4. This one was fun to watch, and a great save! I love how well that simple orange works for the Nova! Good job.
  5. Stunning results! Your foil work is immaculate and fine. The colors are beautiful, especially that red interior. The variation in the "chrome" surfaces on the dash and console add much realism. Engine bay looks like a showroom display. Overall, one of the nicest builds ever seen of this model kit. VERY well done.

Cleaned up pretty well! Love the blacked out trim.
  7. Love that color! Who made this kit?

Sporty! Don't see enough of these built up!
  9. That's a cool drag car! You captured the flavor of the real one for sure. Looks like some VERY tricky header work on both the car and the model. What the heck are the front wheels on the cover car? Looks like a throw-away spare! May I ask what dark red paint you used? It's a beautiful shade of red. Oh, you better add that tranny cross member before it hits the pavement!?
  10. Wow! That's sharp! These do build up nicely, don't they?! Seeing this, I don't see how the others could be any challenge to you at all. Now go ahead and foil that full rocker trim Revell was gracious enough to mold on!?
  11. Very pretty bubbletop! Looks absolutely gorgeous in black. Is that metallic flake something you added, or is that a paint you bought?
  12. These used the X-frame of the Chevy, right? Basically Pontiac skin over Chevy running gear? BTW, nice engine reference pic above posted by Guido. Thanks for that!
  13. A '59 El Camino top would turn that into a sweet little custom coupe! Tom, your GTO is screamin' for a cartoon driver as it has a real Deal's Wheels proportion and shape going on!
  14. Nice. I love a good watercolor. What paper/surface are you painting on? Looks like a hot press finish, maybe illustration board?
  15. +1 on the thanks for that! Very informative site; much good reading!
  16. Depends on what part you're looking at. She's kind of a Zinger!
  17. That's a steal! Did they have more?!
  18. What a nice looking little '57! Love this era of Fords. Just how big is the finished model (length)?
  19. That's a gorgeous color on that Impala. I could see that same color decanted , mixed with a touch of white, and cleared with a matte clear making a nice interior color as well. Can't wait to see you finish that one!
  20. Beautiful; both the real car and the model! Your engine and bay details are really nice. Well done.
  21. Glad to see you back on this one! This is a very attractive car, and should look great in candy blue.
  22. NICE! Looks like a Macross kit on wheels! Well done, especially the paint work.
  23. I prefer this over the alternomad any day. Good job.
  24. Nice job! Great that you saved a piece of your childhood like this. Like many others, I would give anything if I could have the models that were on my shelf as a youth.
