  1. I'd bet dollars to donuts that this will pop apart relatively easily. While the builder was pretty generous with his glue, most of it appears to be laying on the surface, and most parts don't appear to be tightly fitted. Look forward to watching your WIP! Also, before resorting to chemicals, I'd put it in a hot soapy water bath overnight, and then see what happens.
  2. I don't know, I think that's gonna spook the bluegill...
  3. Great show-car flake job! Nice model.
  4. Absolutely gorgeous interior; actually looks inviting!
  5. That's just pretty. No way I could own that kit and NOT want to build it!
  6. Yep, probably one of the most universal of model car foibles right there.
  7. That's a real looker. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of white cars, but with all the chrome this thing has, it's just a shining beauty to behold! What's she got under the hood?
  8. What's not to love?! You had a specific goal on this one, and you surpassed it. This one was fun to watch come together, and ended up a top shelf custom.
  9. That's a beauty! Molding and smoothing the chromework, and the monochromatic paint scheme really cleans up the lines of the squarebird. I love these cars in all their versions from bone stock to wild custom. This is a nicely modernized custom. The engine is particularly nice! Very well done all around.
  10. Very nice build! Excellent color choice; it really accents the body. Well done!
  11. A very realistic model, and the color is beautiful! Well done.
  12. Very nice looking Olds; very tasteful and inviting interior! Well done.
  13. Outrageous custom! Love the wild appearance, and the color!
  14. 57s look nice in silver; good choice!
  15. Nice!
  16. Pretty cool! I love that you're saving these old customs, and improving them in the process. I came across a glue bomb custom at a flea market a few years back, and it felt and looked like the builder had used Plastic Wood for a filler. He had started to sand it down, and then gave up. I passed it by, that stuff is a nightmare to sand!
  17. Pretty neat stuff. Good, clean build makes for a nice display piece. Well done!
  18. Good pics and nice job on the models! really like the detail work on the BOP; I've built the big one right after it came out, and it's still one of my favorite Trek ship designs.
  19. Nice model! This is a great choice for an any-street-USA kind of car. Very believable appearance.
  20. Is that a 60 Ford wagon roof at the rear? Nice job; love the bold color choice. What paint/color is that yellow?
  21. Nice build of a neat little car!
  22. OK. Thanks for sharing your technique. I need to get that Vallejo set; another tool for the shed!
  23. I think you may be right. They look right at home as you've used them!
  24. Neat little car, and a good build considering a 45 year pause! Very nice display, too. Welcome back to the hobby!
  25. Nice attention to much-needed details underneath. I like the exposed headlight idea, it looks good mocked up, and it makes the model more unique.
