  1. Wow! That's sharp! These do build up nicely, don't they?! Seeing this, I don't see how the others could be any challenge to you at all. Now go ahead and foil that full rocker trim Revell was gracious enough to mold on!?
  2. Very pretty bubbletop! Looks absolutely gorgeous in black. Is that metallic flake something you added, or is that a paint you bought?
  3. These used the X-frame of the Chevy, right? Basically Pontiac skin over Chevy running gear? BTW, nice engine reference pic above posted by Guido. Thanks for that!
  4. A '59 El Camino top would turn that into a sweet little custom coupe! Tom, your GTO is screamin' for a cartoon driver as it has a real Deal's Wheels proportion and shape going on!
  5. Nice. I love a good watercolor. What paper/surface are you painting on? Looks like a hot press finish, maybe illustration board?
  6. +1 on the thanks for that! Very informative site; much good reading!
  7. Depends on what part you're looking at. She's kind of a Zinger!
  8. That's a steal! Did they have more?!
  9. What a nice looking little '57! Love this era of Fords. Just how big is the finished model (length)?
  10. That's a gorgeous color on that Impala. I could see that same color decanted , mixed with a touch of white, and cleared with a matte clear making a nice interior color as well. Can't wait to see you finish that one!
  11. Beautiful; both the real car and the model! Your engine and bay details are really nice. Well done.
  12. Glad to see you back on this one! This is a very attractive car, and should look great in candy blue.
  13. NICE! Looks like a Macross kit on wheels! Well done, especially the paint work.
  14. I prefer this over the alternomad any day. Good job.
  15. Nice job! Great that you saved a piece of your childhood like this. Like many others, I would give anything if I could have the models that were on my shelf as a youth.
  16. I'd bet dollars to donuts that this will pop apart relatively easily. While the builder was pretty generous with his glue, most of it appears to be laying on the surface, and most parts don't appear to be tightly fitted. Look forward to watching your WIP! Also, before resorting to chemicals, I'd put it in a hot soapy water bath overnight, and then see what happens.
  17. I don't know, I think that's gonna spook the bluegill...
  18. Great show-car flake job! Nice model.
  19. Absolutely gorgeous interior; actually looks inviting!
  20. That's just pretty. No way I could own that kit and NOT want to build it!
  21. Yep, probably one of the most universal of model car foibles right there.
  22. That's a real looker. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of white cars, but with all the chrome this thing has, it's just a shining beauty to behold! What's she got under the hood?
  23. What's not to love?! You had a specific goal on this one, and you surpassed it. This one was fun to watch come together, and ended up a top shelf custom.
  24. That's a beauty! Molding and smoothing the chromework, and the monochromatic paint scheme really cleans up the lines of the squarebird. I love these cars in all their versions from bone stock to wild custom. This is a nicely modernized custom. The engine is particularly nice! Very well done all around.
