There are so many things wrong with the 1:1 that I don't know where to start, but probably the goofy-from-any-angle roof. Yours looks much better already, far better proportions. I also always thought that this car should really be a hardtop, not a pillared sedan.

We just got permission from Carol Holthaus to include the police hubcap/wheel package in the '90-'91 version of the kit.

Hey Greg, can I have one too? Greg stopped by with a resin copy hood, revisions under way. It was about 1/8" thick in the middle; it doesn't have to be like that in the resin, so I thinned it more to scale.

Moebius Comet... Wild Bubbletop Show Rod- Done! 3-17

With two FEs and four blowers, this thing is going to have just the right amount of off the hook. Following closely. -
Great job on the Edsel, nice bit of sliceology on the Skyliner as well.

Yes, Modelhaus wheels and caps. Second stage is the added core support/brace to shore up the front fenders and keep them in place during the molding process.

I now have Dwayne's Crown Vic in my possession. To say that it is impressive would be the understatement of the ages. It's hard to imagine that, as Dwayne told me, it started out as a '69 Roadrunner. My job is to make the glass buck for the vacuformed glass which will be included with the kits, as well as a few other minor touches. I couldn't help but try out a set of police car dog dish caps and wheels on it... Why, heck yes. As well as do something a little scarier - cut the front header panel off to facilitate casting with no overhangs to lock it into the mold. Dwayne gave me permission to do this, a gutsy move on his part with a master with literally hundreds of hours of labor in it. The pieces will lock together in a way that continues Dwayne's modular approach to the assembly procedure. Greg is already casting the interior and small pieces, and making me a resin copy of the hood to modify/fit to the slightly revised hood opening. Even though this will be a curbside model, the separate hood will allow an engine to be installed as an option.

Hey, what a cool cat! And you're right, you don't see many of these 428s built; I can't remember when I saw the last one. (if ever)

Nice start, I'm a sucker for half vinyl tops. -
If there is interest? Something tells me...

1980 Dodge "Slamcharger"

That looks amazingly nice! Fun checking out things that would never have occurred to you, yet work. -
I had to look up raggarbil, found a few images. Hard to imagine some of those cars are street legal, they would be towed off over here. Every country has their own idea of what is allowable.

Amazing job on that roadster, Eric, I had no idea that many kits/parts went into it. Very nice.

More as it comes in.

AMT 1960 Ford Starliner. ...last build for 2017
Maindrian Pace replied to Mr Stock's topic in Model Cars
Super nice build. The only thing missing is detailing the front parking lights at the leading edge of the front fenders. Fortunately, an easy adjustment on a built kit. -
Stunner! All business, plain and clean - just how I like them. A friend built a '77 1:1 in a similar way, one of my favorite friend cars of all time. I have pics somewhere...

Outstanding! If I had an extra 40 million lying around, I'd buy a real one next week.

Love the Gene Winfield style fade, the car looks great from every angle.
