  1. Great looking build. Nice interior and engine details. Wasn't the Hertz cars the only ones with gold stripes on the white bodies?
  2. I like the style of this build. The white dashboard and under hood area along with the wide whites.
  3. Great looking paint and color.
  4. Sometimes you can use wooden toothpicks and coffee suturing sticks as levers to pry as needed and this is usually easier on any painted finishes.
  5. I was going to suggest doing it much the way Sandborder is suggesting. I would stay with the finer grit sanding to minimize any sanding marks showing up in the paint finish.
  6. There are over the counter sprays designed for just such a situation. That is where I would start.
  7. One good place to find chains in the scale you're looking for would be in the Jewlery isle at any craft store. I have found some great small parts for this use and others.
  8. Beautiful looking Ranchero. The attention to the little details on the bed really make this look factory. The colors also add that OEM look along with the trim details. The engine upgrade and the wheels and tires give it great day 2 appearance.
  9. Beautiful looking build. When built in this fashion you can see just how good looking these cars were if done correctly. I like the NASCAR chassis as this also gives a nice stance and suspension. The paint finish and color along with the trim details look great.
  10. Very realistic looking. I have seen a few work trucks around here with such damage.
  11. The '34 Ford pickup was actually than AMT kit and Lindburg wound up with the tooling after their Bankruptcy. That aside your point about older tooling is well taken. Round 2 is now reissuing the '34 pickup and the only thing missing maybe the Flat Bed option or the Wrecker option for the bed. Beyond that it still is a must build in my opinion.
  12. Revell recently issued a '76 Chevrolet K-10 step side short wheelbase kit. My plan is to convert it to a two-wheel drive and make a model of a '74 I owned long ago. I think if someone wanted to make a fleet side out of this, they could shorten the long bed.
  13. Beautiful looking paint finish and clean looking trim. I like the contrasting interior color. These were very underappreciated cars when new and most people were wanting the higher horsepower cars of the day.
  14. Beautiful looking paint and interior. The engine detailing looks very OEM.
  15. Kind of wish they still kited the big boats. The paint and colors all look great. The attention to all to fine details of the exterior trim and especially the interior is what makes this look so good.
  16. Great job combining the styling of the two different cars into one. Nice looking interior finishes and the light wash on the engine gives it a more realistic look.
  17. Great looking paint and trim. Like the rear window louvers.
  18. I like the "job site" damage on the driver's door. Would like to know how you did that. Nice grimy neglected look over all.
  19. I always liked the looks of the "Carson" style tops from the '50's.
  20. Great looking kustom. Nice smooth body mods all flow together. The Bubble Tops were all the rage. I like the rear seat Tannu cover and the bucket seats. Nice fine flake paint.
  21. I have only done a few vinyl roofs in scale, but I have done a few chrome trim addons. My thought would be to make sections of the trim much the way GM did on the 1:1. The one long part at the edge of the trunk opening. The curved part connecting that part to the side trim that runs along the bottom of the sail panel would have to be hand bent but you're doing this with a very small thin piece of trim that can be bent and glued down as you go. I have done just this same type of bend on the top of the tail fins on the '57 Ford wagon to make a factory style tow tone. Also added some curved side molding trim added to the Suburban kit to add body side moldings. Look at using Plastruct 1.5 mm half round for the moldings. After you have the curved part glued down you can cut the end at an angle to match the lower side trim. The same thing to connect the roof drip molding down along the back side of the side window.
  22. While this probably was a real Shelby at one time it hardly is now. Why someone would do all this to a real Shelby when mainstream Mustangs were a common enough starting point and would have had to cost far less in the first place. Doesn't really matter anymore if it was a real Shelby since it never will be in the future. Just a shame to see this happen to such a car.
  23. Great looking workmanship and beautiful paint work. I like the convertible top. So much fine detailing and finishes.
  24. Great redo. Just like finding an old worn out 1:1 car and then bring it back to life. Great looking paint work and a nice bright color. I like how you added the Trans Am style exhaust system for the Hemi.
