In addition to the beautiful paint color and finish, the detailing of the interior, chassis, and engine look great as well.

Like the taillights. Used International Harvester taillights mounted in the same way on a couple of 1:1 Chevy short beds in the past. -
Like your concept for this build.

Interesting color. Some wet sanding and a couple of clear coats maybe even some pin striping? The body side chrome will also enhance the appearance.

We downsized a couple of years ago and had lived on a small body of water for 20+ years. I had to do battle with these things every day and night. They would float around on the lake, and it sounded like barking dogs were in the back yard. A Lazer pointer would work wonders to shoo them to the other side of the lake and became a nightly ritual before going to bed at night. The high point was during winter months when the lake would freeze and the Bald Eagle population would come hunting. These birds are so lazy that the only way there would be any open water was because the Ducks would swim around and keep some open water while the Geese would often get a foot or two frozen on the lake surface because they wouldn't even bother to move their feet around. When they did move around on the ice it would become the color of their droppings.

Just got back from a very pleasant week in the Indiana & Michigan boarder area visiting a few great Wineries with weather in the 70's. Returned to the KC area to upper 90's with heat indices in the 100+ range for the foreseeable future and 20 to 30 mph winds. Could be compared to putting your head in a convection oven.

These birds can destroy a nice lawn in a matter of days and leave slippery excrement on walks and driveways. Why they are a protected species is inexplicable.

Perfect stance and a good way to pick up a late model pickup at a good price. A friend did the same thing years ago with an old Caltrans Chevy. He drove it until it wouldn't pass smog inspection anymore. -

Hi Alan. Thank you for your interest. This was just completed before it was posted. I started the model when they first were issued and got as far as the chopped top and shortened the bed. Then life sort of got in the way and didn't have time or inclination to build models for several years. This partially built kit had been in a box in my stash that I sort of carried around with me for all these years until I came across it recently and thought it was time to finish it. I found a box that had a few others as well that I started long ago, may finish a few others in the near future. -
Great paint color along with the contrasting interior.

Great paint finish and trim detailing.

Beautiful paint finish and the "Mod-Roof" looks very realistic. Only recall ever seeing one when these were new and it was at a new car show sitting. The trim and chassis are all well done.
-
Exceptional paint finish and trim details.

Beautiful looking build and attention to detail. -
Beautiful paint finish and color along with the black body accents. Like the wheels and tires.

Great looking paint color and finish. Maybe you could elongate the hood opening to clear the shaker.

Some of the problems with the panel fit seem to be fairly common on these as well as a few of the other '39 & '40 Ford kits it would seem. I have had to correct the Hood to Body as well as the Fenders on an AMT '39 - '40 Ford sedan kit I'm working on now. I think it may have to do more with the age of the molds than anything else. I recall building many of these kits years ago including the original coupe and the sedan delivery as well. The most resent kits Hood trim is all but nonexistent and the body side trim isn't much butter. These are all fixable and I'm not really complaining, just agreeing with you on what you're having to do on your build. Enjoying watching all of your improvements on this build.
