I like as is. Most that I recall were sort of a dirty natural color and I don't think Ford painted them from the factory. As a custom they would more likely be chromed anyway.
I had a '95 Chevy 1500 X-cab short box that I fixed up years ago. I sold it here at the KC Mecum in 2010 and even after the commissions I got much more than the dealer would give me in trade for our new Charger and more than any of the tire kickers that looked at it.
Great looking Chevy. Looks like the second had ones that everyone wanted way back when and the wide whites look good on the black painted wheels. The engine is the big surprise.
"Would you believe I lost my shoe phone?" The Sunbeam I remember, the others I don't recall, but I was watching the early series. All three of these are very well done with great looking paint work and clean trim.
Beautiful looking build. The color is very close to one offered by Chevrolet at the time. Great job on the foil and clean trim. The wheel well opening are especially hard to get right along with the black lower body trim color.
Great looking build, just like the box art. You mentioned the windshield fitment issue, and that could have been me complaining since the one I had was way undersized. Glad you didn't have that problem. The chrome trim looks very cleanly done.
Great looking build. Not many remember when NASCAR had the compact cars racing. I remember seeing one of the races on the old Wide World of Sports TV programs from Daytona Beach. As I recall the Valent's were the class of the field.
If you're thinking of the color that used to be seen on some Fire Trucks, no it was just kind of a strange shade of green. More in the range of an Avocado green with a little metallic in it. May just be me since I'm not a fan of green cars anyway. Now the hate mail will begin from those that like green cars.
I recall a few colors that Teal Green would be a good description and for the most part they were nice looking. The MV Green I recall was a shade that everyone seemed to be painting everything and the color just didn't last in popularity.
