Great looking Kustom. That hood looks like it would be toast.

Beautiful looking reproduction. I agree with everyone else on the doors and trunk hinges. You even got your friends wheel and tire treatment perfectly. nice that your friend had the foresight to hang on to the car thru the years.
-
Beautiful paint finish. Great chassis and engine details.
-
Great looking build. I didn't know of this scale model. I like how you have pictures with the people standing around like a car show.
-
Beautiful looking finish and color. I saw a new Challenger in their new shade of this color the other day, fortunately I was wearing my sunglasses.
-
Beautiful looking woody. I wish they would reissue this kit and maybe offer a nice hopped-up flathead as well. The finish and colors on the wood trim look realistic. Other than heater hoses I didn't notice anything missing.

Both are great looking builds. Not all coupes were chopped in the past and it's nice to have a little head room anyway. Great looking paint and well detailed drivetrains. The wheels and tires look right on both.
-
Great looking "mail slot" windows. The flat black finish looks the same as the 1:1 and the rims and tires look almost the same as well. This is about as realistic as it gets.

I was in a local HL store today and they had some on the shelf. I realize there is a little territory between us, but it might be worth a visit to the local Hobby Lobby to see if they have one. -
The seat inserts are the same between the '59 and the '60 in 1:1 scale.

As a child I remember visiting my Grandparents and having my Grandmother teach me how to use her sewing machine. The power was provided by your feet that rested on a metal plate that would rock back and forth. You could go as fast or slow as you wanted. She had this since she was a very young woman and never felt a need for anything better. My oldest Aunt had the machine after my Grandparents past and after she died, I always wondered what happened to it.

Now that's funny.

Might want to consider attending the next School Board Meeting and express your valid concerns. I would invite any other parents that you know to join you. Does your local TV station have a reporter that covers such news?

Great looking color and clean stock style trim. Nice to see one the way it would have come from the dealer.

Very creative looking. I like the way you shaped the convertible roof. The finishes all look very cleanlt done and the flames down the side looks good and gives the short stubby body a longer look.

AMT Chevy Silverado

Great looking fabrication on the bed bins and rack. Just a thought, and you know better than I what you have in mind. With your grand plan do the bins need to be on the passenger side of the bed ? The reason I ask is this location creates a very big blind spot for the driver along the passenger side if they are trying to get into a tight spot. -
The hood may be warped. Since you have already painted it, I would go very slow with maybe a hot water bath and try and see if it can be straightened without damaging the paint.

I think one of our members posted something about how the Ford Y Block was used extensively in racing in South America years ago.

Your favourite Box art
espo replied to HotRodaSaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree with those who liked the AMT Street Rods series. Besides the box art it was a time when AMT updated some of their existing kits with some better tires and wheels along with many other extras. -
We may not be thinking of the same model. The reason I say this is having built the roadster and the fastback several years ago I found both to be reasonably good kits. Besides the difference in body styles, one offered the big block engine with a single four barrel and the other offered the 3x2 setup. Thew removable roof on the roadster was fiddly as every Corvette roadster kit I have ever touched is, and that just goes with the territory I think.
-
Revell at one time offered this fastback as well as a roadster version. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this sells well enough that Revell might consider reissuing the roadster as well.

Keith Marks Decals carries some great looking interior decals for this as well as others. They are listed here on the forum in the aftermarket section.

Realistic looking finishes. These are ugly enough looking to be attractive, kind of like the old milk vans when done up. -

Beautiful looking body lines and paint. Realistic looking lift and wheels and tires.
