  1. Sorry to hear of your problems. I hope you're able to get everything straightened out.
  2. I like the real wood trim with the chrome surround.
  3. I still have pictures of this build on my phone from when it was at the Heartland Nationals a couple of years ago. For those that haven't seen it, it looks even better in person.
  4. I like the stock showroom look. Is this a dark green color of some sort ?
  5. Hendrix Resin and Star both list what you're looking for.
  6. Chopping the top of a model for the first time is not for the faint of heart. Interesting paint treatment.
  7. Great looking finish with the perfect stance.
  8. Beautiful looking, and I'm glad you listed all of the things you did to the body and everything else. I saw some of the build, but seeing it all come together without that information it would be hard to grasp what all has been done. Most remarkable looking build.

    32 Chevy

What a great looking early Chevy. What kit did you use for this build ?

Beautiful looking paint finish and all of the chrome trim is very clean looking. You have mentioned your method of painting with wood stain ? I would like to learn more about how you're doing this.
  11. I like your 1:1 Nomad. Great looking paint finish on the little '34.
  12. The engine almost looks to nice, chrome valve covers, for a standard pickup. Glad to see you're able to do something with this cab.
  13. I like your engineering on the rear suspension.. I remember seeing a couple of the wagons here in the US that may have been based on this design.
  14. Great looking interior. Looking forward to seeing your body work on this.
  15. I used the wheels in the Round 2 reissued AMT Studebaker Avanti kit for a build of a car I owned years ago. Look at my avatar picture of my '67 El Camino for an idea. Another possible source would be the Starsky and Hutch Torino kit. These are on the chrome tree in both kits and you can easily change the finish to what ever you want them to look like.
  16. Very extensive body work and lengthening of the front fenders and hood. The rear quarter panel additions resemble the design seen on the '52 thru '54 Fords. The redesign of the front seat looks great. I look forward to seeing what you have in mind for all of these body modifications.
  17. Beautiful looking race car. You mention the hood being up a little in front. Maybe a small cheat to get more air into the engine compartment ? I like how you got the fender flares done also.
  18. Very clean looking showroom stock pickup. I like the addition of the decals under the hood. You can really see the reflection of the rear bumper on the tailgate in the one picture. All of the details on this are very clean.
  19. Great looking T/A. I enjoyed watching your build on this. I'll have to remember your Pennzoil decal trick for the future.
  20. Beautiful looking roadster. I'm really impressed with the engine choice here. The paint looks great and I like how you accented the interior.
  21. Very clean looking build and all of the chrome trim is well done also. I like the interior as well.
  22. I like the more normal look of your build. Great looking paint finish and a commonly seen color. Nice chassis detail and the dog and their person looks very natural.
  23. I really like the look of this build. Like you this isn't something I would think to build myself, but this looks very interesting and I like the realistic appearance of your build. You mentioned that most everything to do the catering part is in the kit. This might be something different to try. Great looking finishes thru out and well detailed.
  24. I happened to be in the KC Metro area on the Kansas side yesterday and visited three HL stores. They all seemed well stocked with no openings on the shelves but the inventory seemed like the same models with nothing new for a couple of months. That said at 40% off I'd say if you need a kit for parts or thinking of redoing a kit from the past this would be a good time to take a look anyway.
  25. You know since you have this faucet out why not just buy a new name brand one that you can get parts for when needed. I would even go so far as inspecting the new faucet prior to purchase to be sure it is a simple washer since this is the most common problem. I bought a plumbers gasket and washer kit at Home Depot years ago with all kinds of these parts in the kit. I have used these to fix our home faucets as needed as well as our rentals over the last twenty years. I'm sure your wife can find a new style faucet she likes better anyway.
