  1. Enjoyed your build on this and your save on the chopped top looks great. With the Valiant on board this would make a great Saturday Night Special.
  2. Great looking LUV and I like the Mikado trim. I was wondering about the bed cover also. Was this in the kit or did you do something else ?? What about the rear fender flares or is that just the way it photographed ?
  3. Great looking street machine.
  4. The paint finish is excellent and I also like the color combination. I followed your build on this and you did a great job of detailing the interior and engine/chassis all the way through.
  5. Beautiful looking finish. I was wondering how you did the multi piece body. The video really shows a lot for someone who hasn't built one of these before. What did you use up inside the wheel wells for masking ? Great idea what ever you used.
  6. I like your color choice and a great finish. Look forward to seeing more of your builds in the future.

    1968 roadrunner

Beautiful looking finish and I like this color on this body style.
  8. Great looking build. When someone talks about a GTO Judge this is what comes to mind.
  9. For all the problems this build offered it turned out great. The Tail Lights are the best I can recall seeing of the '64 Impala kit.
  10. I also like your different approach to the body modification on this build. Obviously the roof section, but the way you handled the area between the A and C pillar particularly.
  11. Very well done video. I never realized that so many different colors were offered. The different shades of colors explains why I have seen Road Runners in the past and thought that they were repainted poorly when it was just a different color than what I was used to seeing.
  12. I would suggest following 64SS350's idea on the body side moldings. That and the badging on the rear quarter panel would take care of the exterior of the body. The interior challenge would be the front bench seat. This can be done by modifying the back seat from a second models interior. The seat would need to be widened since the rear seat is somewhat narrower because of the side arm rests. The console would also go away. The correct hub caps may be an issue depending on your wheel and tire combination. I think that most of the kits representing the Chevrolet models, say '63 thru "65, that provide stock full wheel covers might be a good source if you're building a showroom stock model.
  13. Got to wonder why he was so close to you, and he had to see you were in motion. What are the painted markings on the lot for ?

    amt 25 T bucket

Great looking color and a very high level of detail on the engine and chassis. I like how your Windshield looks also.
  15. Failure of the neighbors to observe the Cocktail Hour. Why on a Friday evening does anyone need to mow their lawns after 5 PM ? All you want to do is sit on the rear deck, enjoy a glass of what ever with who ever and relax a little. At least with the coming of shorter and cooler days this isn't the problem it was just a little over a month ago, but there are still people out there burning gas and oil mixed at 40 to 1 only now they're blowing their dead leaves into each others yards.
  16. Very realistic looking, especially the floor of the bed.
  17. Still looks good. Have you priced a new one ? You might want to consider what it would cost to fix any little ills with this as apposed to buying a new truck.
  18. I have only had the one setup that I have had for a few years, and like you it was a Christmas present to my self. The Air Brush ia an Iwata Eclipse model # ECL2001. I have an Air Compressor by Model Maker model CP101. Both have served me well and I would suggest that they would make a good setup to consider.
  19. Well I'll look for it Under Glass sometime soon I hope.
  20. I'm one of the many who had a long standing subscription to Scale Auto. In my case I had just renewed my subscription just before they shut down the magazine and I'm now getting their substitute. While I have gained a little information on paint treatments I'm not going to renew with no more automotive based information than they are suppling. I was able to pickup the new Model Cars Magazine and plan to subscribe in hopes that it will stay viable in the future. I moved all of their contacts to Spam when they pulled the plug on the Scale Auto Mag.
  21. The dealership I was working at made a TV commercial at one time with a 9C1 on loan from Chevrolet from the Zone Office. This was a full on Black and White and of course you can guess who got to drive the 9C1. The TV crew were all hanging on in the bed of a pickup filming the car and they wanted a lot of back and forth action for the commercial. We were only going around 40 MPH but I did get the tires to screech a little at their direction. The car was a four door but seemed a little tighter to me than the SS I was driving at the time. Your correct about these cars, they were always overlooked by most.
  22. Another tool I have had for years has a long, maybe a foot, flexible cable with a wire inside. The handle is gripped by your first two fingers and your thumb moves the cable which has a little gripper fingers on the end. I got it to get dropped nuts and bolts when working on a car, but it should be perfect for fishing out anything in the disposal.
  23. Unless they are very ridged they may not be strong enough. I'm thinking of some of the materials that we can get at many hobby shops and craft type stores. I'm sure you have something along that order locally.
  24. I have two back in the box from just this year. Sometimes it's better to do that and move on to something else just to clear your mind a little.

So this build is back on ? I would like to see how the interior and body colors look together.
