This is a beautifully done Camaro. Like so many others, I always thought the Baldwin stripes were a little much. Besides the yellow Slapper Bars on the Differential the Side Piper, AKA Weed Sprayers, look perfect on this.

I enjoyed watching your build progress until finished. This is a very interesting build and how everything came together in the finished build. I'd love to have that propeller on the back of my 1:1 car for some of the tailgaters around here.

Great save on these two Impalas. While it might have been easier to start with the reissued '67 Impala SS, sometimes you get to use more of your skills rebuilding something some else has given up on.

You got me to thinking, and I looked back and found on March 3 we had an exchange on the direction or theme of your build. I didn't actually suggest the paint spillage as I mention a 1:1 vehicle that I had seen years ago. You must have taken that and went from there. So I'm only half guilty at best.

I rest my case. Looking at the hinged doors and what looks like an angled windshield not to mention the interior. I'll be watching for this one.

Now take one of your other extra hoods and use it to form the bottom. I understand this was considered somewhat of a common Aero Package many years ago.

I don't know anything about the mechanicals of your car, but the styling is sure nice looking. I think the obvious care for it's appearance has a lot to do with that also.

I have seen several of your builds in the past, you don't need all that much help.

If all else fails there are some Resin chopped '32 Grill and grill Shells out there. I like the cut from the bottom method suggested.

In addition to the tips from Brutalform I would add something to try. Since the edge of any body trim can get very vague even before you have applied any primer or color paint. Just as you deepen door and trunk parting lines you might try to lightly outline any chrome trim that you will be foiling later. This will give you an edge that can easily be seen when it comes time to cut the foil. Another aid would be to lay a lightly applied length of masking tape to the body where you don't want the foil to stick. After cutting the foil this will also make it much easier to remove the foil from the body portion and maybe even eliminate the residue you mentioned. The pointed cotton tips that Brutalform mentioned have been the greatest aid for myself and of course I recommend that also. Look forward to seeing your builds.

The main thing is you're ok. I spent most of my life in various parts of California and like PeteJ said they are somewhat common, but not something to become complacent about. The unfortunate part is that there is little you can due about the earthquake it's self, but your life and belongings you can take measures to protect. As you mentioned kicking the whole Corona Virus thing off the TV. The local TV here is so busy yammering on and on that they don't talk about anything else. I check the USGS Earthquake site on my phone ones in a while and was surprised to see how much activity there has been in your area. The number of after shocks especially got my attention. Do you have any known faults in your area, is there any fracking going on ? Not much you can do about either one, but you can start planning to be prepared for any future shacking.

Looks like a good find. As mentioned the condition is actually very good for its age and lack of covered storage. That engine with a rebuild should give you very good service. I think the best feature is the three speed and you mentioned the Overdrive. That transmission will prove to be the best part of your drive train with minimum maintains it should last for ever, in fact this one may need nothing more than a good cleaning and Seal changes and new oil.

This reminds me I have some parts soaking since last night.

I think you could use Hoods and Grills from any of the Revell or reissued Round 2 models. I even used the Hood from the Revell Suburban on the reissued AMT pickup and it's as if the same kit designer worked on both kits.

That movie was a peak into our future.

My thought is that you may not of cleared the decals. This is based on the close up picture of the stripes and the finish that looks as if they may be deteriorating. I have seen where decals can do that as they age. There's a lot of different opinions as to whether decals should be cleared or not. I'm of the opinion that they should, but that's just me.
