  1. Great looking Mustang. The extra detailing on the engine and interior makes it stand out.
  2. Beautiful build. Always nice to see a stock type build. The color combinations are perfect. Just don't see enough '40's any more.
  3. I know what you mean about customer service in banking. They are saving money by not having employees and everyone gives up after arguing with a computer. What the CU failed to explain is what sounds like a Simple Interest Loan. You would be required to make monthly payments on your loan, and any additional payments made between the scheduled payments are applied to the principal on your loan. They will charge interest based on the unpaid balance until the next payment is received. Any time in excess of the predetermined payment schedule, usually 30 days, is considered past due and a late charge will be applied. Mortgages are also done in this way. With the old Add on interest loans you were able to make payments ahead of time and even skip a payment if you had paid ahead on you loan. Guess which way lenders make the most interest and income.
  4. While on the dark side , I have used Tamiya XF-56 Metallic Grey. It is a flat color and a touch of Semi Gloss makes it about right. Their Titanium Silver X-32 is another option on the lighter side. It has a gloss finish and you may again want to use a little Semi Gloss on it also.
  5. It can be very difficult to blend different bodies together and have it look like that's the way it id supposed to be. Everything just flows, well built for sure.
  6. Great paint job. The interior color helps to make the interior stand out. I liked the wheel choice also. Very clean build.
  7. Fit issues aside your build turned out very nice.
  8. Very nice straight from the box build. I agree with you on the rear view mirror, you don't notice it until you see one with it. The only thing I would suggest has to do with the front bumper. You've got perfect looking parking lamps, but the area where they are mounted is open on the 1:1 car. A little flat black paint in the indentation area of the bumper will give it a lot more depth.
  9. The cinder blocks look like the ones AMT used to put in some of its kits years ago. I have seen them resin casted by many thru the years. I'm not 100% but I think the first issue of the '49 Ford was when I first remember seeing them. They have many uses.
  10. Outstanding chrome work. I also like the '64 Tempest, they were great cars in 1:1 also.
  11. Great color choice, shows the body lines well.
  12. My limited experience with MCW has been very positive. The body I used looked dean on and very little clean up needed. I wouldn't hesitate to order another if they have a subject I wanted to build.
  13. Thank you for the review. I was thinking about buying one since I had many Camaro Z-28 and IROC demos when I was in the retail car business. You pointed out "carburation" while showing the Chrome Tree. There appears to be an optional Webber type carburetors on the Chrome Tree?? The engine seams to have the troublesome Crossfire Injection system. If someone is building a later model from this kit they should think about using a single carburetor from another kit. An interior idea depending on the type of build someone is going for. One of my Demos had an expensive Racaro seat option that wasn't often seen. In mine the main interior color was a dark brown, there was also a Red interior option that I recall, and the seat inserts going down the seat back and bottom had a graduated color that was somewhat lighter at the top role and each roll got darker as you went down. Each roll would have CAMARO lettering in black. The lower leg support was adjustable so if you had longer legs they would be supported. This option really made the interior stand out compared to the single color interiors.
  14. I remember building several of the Jo Han kits when I was younger. They had very well proportioned bodies and the chassis while very basic was the norm for AMT also at that time. I built their Road Runner kit that came out around '69. At that time their bodies were superior to anything even AMT offered. The only down side that I remembered was that their interiors sometimes seamed a little shallow. I would like to see your build up on this project.
  15. Beautifully aged. Realistic looking setting. Noticed the Oregon license plate. There are many places along their beautiful coast line were moss will grow overnight.

    Lincoln LIMO

Great looking redo. I like how you matched the paint treatment on the under carriage to match the roof.
  17. Very nice looking. If you still are thinking about the Honda lettering on the trunk try a dab if clear paint as an adhesive on the lettering.
  18. Great clean looking build. I like the wrapped Headers.
  19. Beautiful build. I really want to build this kit but this Suburban keeps calling my name.
  20. Beautiful build. I like the color and I'm looking at using it on the Olds. build on my bench now. My question to you is what color base paint did you use ??
  21. I like how the paint turned out. I think it is one of those colors you have to see in person in bright light to appreciate.
  22. Great job on the door jams. That really made a difference in how the roof lo0ks. I got to drive one of these when they first came out, the little 4 cylinder engine, it was the right bank of a 389 Pont. V8, was a very torquey engine with a manual transmission.
  23. Great looking, I agree with the "toned down look". With just a little chrome trim it looks like you're about done.
  24. very nice looking and the colors really go together well.
