  1. Outstanding chrome work. I also like the '64 Tempest, they were great cars in 1:1 also.
  2. Great color choice, shows the body lines well.
  3. My limited experience with MCW has been very positive. The body I used looked dean on and very little clean up needed. I wouldn't hesitate to order another if they have a subject I wanted to build.
  4. Thank you for the review. I was thinking about buying one since I had many Camaro Z-28 and IROC demos when I was in the retail car business. You pointed out "carburation" while showing the Chrome Tree. There appears to be an optional Webber type carburetors on the Chrome Tree?? The engine seams to have the troublesome Crossfire Injection system. If someone is building a later model from this kit they should think about using a single carburetor from another kit. An interior idea depending on the type of build someone is going for. One of my Demos had an expensive Racaro seat option that wasn't often seen. In mine the main interior color was a dark brown, there was also a Red interior option that I recall, and the seat inserts going down the seat back and bottom had a graduated color that was somewhat lighter at the top role and each roll got darker as you went down. Each roll would have CAMARO lettering in black. The lower leg support was adjustable so if you had longer legs they would be supported. This option really made the interior stand out compared to the single color interiors.
  5. I remember building several of the Jo Han kits when I was younger. They had very well proportioned bodies and the chassis while very basic was the norm for AMT also at that time. I built their Road Runner kit that came out around '69. At that time their bodies were superior to anything even AMT offered. The only down side that I remembered was that their interiors sometimes seamed a little shallow. I would like to see your build up on this project.
  6. Beautifully aged. Realistic looking setting. Noticed the Oregon license plate. There are many places along their beautiful coast line were moss will grow overnight.

    Lincoln LIMO

Great looking redo. I like how you matched the paint treatment on the under carriage to match the roof.
  8. Very nice looking. If you still are thinking about the Honda lettering on the trunk try a dab if clear paint as an adhesive on the lettering.
  9. Great clean looking build. I like the wrapped Headers.
  10. Beautiful build. I really want to build this kit but this Suburban keeps calling my name.
  11. Beautiful build. I like the color and I'm looking at using it on the Olds. build on my bench now. My question to you is what color base paint did you use ??
  12. I like how the paint turned out. I think it is one of those colors you have to see in person in bright light to appreciate.
  13. Great job on the door jams. That really made a difference in how the roof lo0ks. I got to drive one of these when they first came out, the little 4 cylinder engine, it was the right bank of a 389 Pont. V8, was a very torquey engine with a manual transmission.
  14. Great looking, I agree with the "toned down look". With just a little chrome trim it looks like you're about done.
  15. very nice looking and the colors really go together well.
  16. Beautiful build. It is hard to appreciate just how advanced this design was for the time, until you look what other manufactures were offering in 1953.

    Hot rod Caddy

The interior colors flow together well. The 1:1 Cadillac Was very large car even in its day. There was a joke at that time that the spare (meaning spare tire) was a VW suspended between the fins.
  18. Great photography and the model is outstanding.
  19. Looks very nice. Do you have any pictures of the interior, engine or chassis to share ??

    '58 Impala

Your bucket seat conversion turned out perfect. I like the look enough that I will try this on an up coming build.
  21. The differential change if any would depend on what you have in your parts stash. A thought if you wish to lower the ride height. The rear tire in your picture looks as though it might be ever so much to the rear of the opening. If you lower the suspension the easiest way would be blocks or spacers between the leaf springs and the differential. The differential could be moved forward just little when you remount it to the springs. Also depending just how low you want to go you may want to think about a C notch in the frame above the differential. I like how you Tabbed the rear wheel wells.
  22. I remember an old saying, "Book smart - Street dumb" Just because someone has a "Higher Education" doesn't always mean they know what they're talking about.
  23. You might try Tamiya TS-33 Dull Red. It's non metallic and a flat finish. If you need a little more sheen you could dust it with their Semi-Gloss. As always picnic spoons are your friend.
  24. Beautiful build. The engine is well detailed as is the chassis. The vinyl roof looks dead on. very accurate looking.
