  1. Great looking build. It really looks like a day at the beach.
  2. I like what you have done with the driver's fender, like you said a work in progress. The interior looks almost like you could just leave it with all of the dust. Maybe just a few very small touches of primer where some rust was repaired in the usual places.
  3. That color really stands out with the fender stripes and the wheels.
  4. Looks great so far. I like how you redid the rear bumper, it looks much cleaner.
  5. This is going to look good with all of the Bel Air trim mostly gone.
  6. great tip .
  7. Outstanding detailing on this build. The dash looks special.
  8. This will be great to watch, and learn some new techniques.
  9. This is a great kit and an iconic car to build. They even made songs about it years ago. "So save your nickels and save your dimes" and have fun.
  10. The color looks great as does the chassis. I like how you got the dash and gauges to look.
  11. Very inventive, I like the Cone Head idea. Like you I have had problems down loading photos that I took with my phone. I used to have to reduce them a couple of times to get them small enough for them to fit the sites format. What I have done now is to Crop the image rather reduce it. This worked great for me. I had a sharper image of the model and cutout a lot of the back ground that I didn't want anyway.
  12. Beautiful build. Tastefully modified.
  13. Looks good so far. I like the Moon Eyes decal in the quarter windows, they stay right??
  14. That should look better than having nothing at all on the firewall. I mentioned before about the steel lines. The line pressure for a brake line can exceed 1000 PSI and in a racing application it could even be higher. The steel or "hard lines" would go from the reservoir to each wheel and the rear would have a flex line from the frame too the differential or from the frame in the general location of the wheels. Between the frame and the brake calipers there would be a flexible line going to the Calipers. On a normal passenger car this is usually a rubber line that is wrapped for strength. In an application such as the Cobra they would use a Steel Braded flex line since they will not expand under extreme pressures. The Clutch line would be the same thing with a flex line from the solidly mounted steel line to the Clutch Slave and this would also be steel braded. I know I'm a rivet counter but you do seem as though you're going for accuracy.
  15. Ah Ha now I get it.
  16. Very nicely done.
  17. That Pink is sure bright !! I like the overspray on the under carriage and the wood trim on the interior is very convincing.
  18. That's a really good looking trailer. I have a question about the axles and since you build 1:1 trailers maybe you could enlighten me on the axle count. I'm building one of the old Revell Ski Boats and it has a single axle trailer. I'm thinking that on a 1:1 build you would need a two axle trailer based on a boat that is around 20 ft. long and has a blown Hemi Chrysler engine. I also noticed the picture that shows your prototype has a two axle trailer for the Cobra. I know we're just building with plastic here but in the 1:1 world wouldn't you want a two axle trailer to support the weight and for stability??
  19. Chassis looks great and the body sites just right. I like the full fender look, the leading edge of the front fenders seem to be at an odd angle.
  20. Very interesting !! You got the roof to flow well into the body.
  21. Your rebuild is coming along and looks great. I don't know if you are even worried about the Master Brake Cylinder or the Clutch Master Cylinder any longer. You didn't mention if you still had the kits instruction sheet, but I have an unbuilt Cobra kit and in looking at the instruction sheet it makes no mention of either of these cylinders.
  22. I love it.
  23. The radiator is a problem on these kits. The 1:1 the radiator sits just behind the cover and closer to the engine. The kit mounts it in much the same way but it sits in a very shallow notch on the frame and relies on the hoses to hold it in place. I had to glue the #%@*& part several times before it would not get knocked off when mounting the chassis to the body.
  24. Nice paint job. I like the detailed realistic rear suspension.
  25. Interesting, the back doors look a little short, but maybe that's the way they were??
