  1. Interesting that you used Vallejo Plastic Putty . I've been told that it's very thin , dries to a rubbery consistency , and is not sandable . What do you think ?
  2. Sharp color , what is it ?
  3. HAH ! Been there done that .
  4. This one just has that "look" we all love ! Really great work Bernard !
  5. Soooo much better than what's in the box , congrats on building a great looking model !
  6. I've got one of these kits ready to be started and am really glad to see yours finished , it looks great ! For some strange reason I just think these cars look cool .
  7. I love Chaparrals and yours is absolutely gorgeous ! Replacing the screen and stacks was well worth the extra effort , and those Gold Line tires look great !
  8. I've done enough of this kind of build to know that there's always a surprise during final assembly so I'm pre-fitting everything on this one , everything you see on the chassis is assembled with Tacky glue which is easily cleaned before paint . The engine isn't complete only what can be seen from the bottom , and if you look closely you can see where I've drilled and pinned the front sub-frame with 1/16" rod . The biggest issue was reshaping the exhaust to fit the new chassis , but after some hair pulling it's done . I've already assembled and disassembled both the chassis and the interior several times and fit them into the body . . . it all fits every time so I'm ready to start painting !
  9. Beautiful work Michael ! Love that 409 and your interior looks great , this is going to be one fine looking '62 !
  10. Thanks Tyler ! The detailing isn't me it was all in the casting .

  15. Thanks David , that's a great looking motor ! It was kind of rare in the Phoenix but it sure was popular in the Polara , can't wait to see yours .

  18. Absolutely my favorite Buick body style and yours is absolutely gorgeous !
  19. Very well done !! I just love seeing custom fab and body work being done and you've got a great eye ! Best way to do it , sometimes measuring everything doesn't look as good as just eyeballing it .
  20. I have that pic saved and was looking at it yesterday , definitely looks right ! Thanks JC !
  21. Thanks David !
  22. Great detail on those pedal pads ! I tried but could never get the ribs looking right .

  24. Appreciate the encouragement . I've already moved on , leaving it just as it sits .
