  1. Wow, this is really cool and unexpected.
  2. AODs are easy to find, every Revell 32 Ford kit has one in it.
  3. The main issue with the Lincoln is those electronics are bound to start going bad soon even if everything works right now. Finding parts is going to be difficult if not impossible. At least the Nova won't get sidelined by an unobtanium electrical doo-dad going bad.
  4. It has a lot of elements of an early 80s Tamiya RC dune buggy. The big square side pontoons and the shape of the rear bodywork are pretty similar.
  5. The red Monogram 79 will build the top car with the standard nose and forward facing hood scoop, the Monogram pace car version will build the lower car with the front air dam and cowl hood. The MPC 79 pace car kit has parts for either nose and a flat or cowl hood.
  6. This kit has also be reissued in the last few years so don't over pay for an old one unless you're a collector or something. If you just want to build it get a recent issue.
  7. I will agree 100% with that. The Monogram version of both early front ends has an odd appearance. I think the shape of the headlight recess is too downwardly tapered on the outside edge leading to a sad-eyed look. I've stared at it for hours and I'm still not sure how to fix it really.
  8. See if you can send the designer a message, they might have posted on another site or be willing to sell the model for you to print on your own.
  9. If you need tires to fit the kit wheels they come in the 90 LX Mustang and all of the 57 Fairlane and wagon gasser kits. I also thing they're in the 69 Nova street machine version.
  10. This is Tamiya nonmetallic BRG over white primer.
  11. Is the scan in .stl file format? Scans also aren't typically ready to just scan and print, you have to clean the up a bit in Blender or something.
  12. I've got a spoiler you can have, I'm putting a stock deck lid and spoiler on mine. PM me your address.
  13. The Quadzilla and Krusher Monogram monster trucks have a 302 with a ridiculously big supercharger that would look good in a gasser.
  14. That's a typo, it should say 69 Chevy with big rock.
  15. No lowballers, I'll know what I got
  16. Another interesting thing is to watch monster trucks crush modern cars. 60s and 70s cars roofs cave in completely on the first pass but modern cars look survivable after several trips over them. Not the best example but all I could find at the moment
  17. I understand, as long as it's in the pipeline.
  18. Awesome, that was what I was hoping. Are there any plans to do a mid 70s nose for either of the ex Monogram kits? I would love this hood with a 75 or 76 nose.
  19. This is the hood I've been waiting for, it looks great. Is it 1/24th or 1/25th scale?
  20. I want to build one in that paint scheme but I'm going to paint the stripes. I bought an aftermarket set of decals off ebay and they're trash. I did mange to find a masking guide for the stripes though so I'm going to try that.
  21. There's a BMW 2002 gasser around the Michigan area.
  22. I've been wanting to take a other crack at this kit, I built an early issue 25+ years ago.
  23. The Revell Z-16 kit is the first one that springs to mind. AMT is bringing back their stock 67 Chevelle, that might be a good starting point. The ex Lindberg 66 Chevelle might be worth looking at as well. Without having the kit in hand these are just guesses of what should fit.
  24. You won't find a sealed one for cheap, mine was water damaged, partially crushed, and started and was still $25 plus shipping.
