  1. Just got home from the local swap meet. model show. Sold a few things but I felt foot traffic was way down from the last time I hit this show .So sales wasnt as good as I had hoped / expected them to be,,,especially compared to last time . I did pick up a REALLY nice 1962 Bonneville convertible. Also got two decent 1960 Lincoln convertibles, as well as a 1959 Edsel convertible. One of the Lincolns is missing the windshield frame ( glass itself is ok ) but over all looks decent ( it was cheap ) But it'll make good resell and/or trade material .
  2. Does the new release 60 impala kit have seat upholstery pattern decals in it?
  3. Been working on it as time allows. ( summer is tough for me to get model bench time in ) I think I have most of the multi piece body seams taken care of. Door seam alignment was horrible between the upper and lower sections of the body. And for the most part the entire lower seam has been rescribed in with the backside of a Xacto blade . I plan to work on finessing the body line above the rear wheel opening and where it wraps around the rear sides of the car next . Its gettin there , slowly but surely. comments of all kinds welcome.
  4. Some great pictures here fellas.
  5. Steve. I would hate to have your yearly bare metal foil bill. But I sure like your subject matter.
  6. pretty sure all actual dealership promotionals used screws up till I think the early 80s . The over the counter repops of recent years I've seen screws or plastic nails

  9. Yes, it wa sin 1970 Only. Can be a tough one to come up with, plan on spending nearly 100 for decent builder
  10. I'll be brutally honest I knowing what I know about the show in the recent past I doubt its worth a 4 hour drive each way . But I've been to it a few times most recently 2 years ago. . Its a good show but if your expecting anything like say the Toledo as an example you are going to be dis-appointed. I have a swap table and will be wearing my red A+M Hightech Automotive shirt . But I HAVE to be gone by about 2pm (daughters 1st soccer tournement of the season is the same day ) Anyone sees me , say hey.
  11. ps, just ckd an MPC 1972 Charger and it has the screws in the rear only I think the newest AMT kit I have on hand is about 1962 or 63 ( and they all have them )
  12. I was thinking late 60s to early 70s.???? I know for sure MPC and Johan both still used them on the 1970 models.
  13. Thanks. It's all your fault. Watching you rebuild all these old annuals got me looking. And buying
  14. There was a seller on Ebay that had one for the AMT body ( user id was redsxfan I think ) I've seen one listed in a while so I am not sure if he stil has them ,,,Although I bought a few of them so I haven't looked for them either. I can snap off a couple pics of it on a body it it helps.
  15. My latest find. Original AMT 1960 Impala convertible.
  16. I think this one is the oldest I have that I built. Johan Roadrunner with the S+M Johan bird decals Built about the late 80s time frame ,,, As far as old old old pics of me and or my models ,,I got nothing

  22. Ok cool. , just looked like there was a seam in the sides of the interior tub and the knobs were behind that . Sure looks good though
  23. Sentimental reasons only. Fix only what needs fixing. Any kind of a rebuild and its no longer your dads build. IMO
