  1. Looking at the picture of the partially boxed kits. I think thats the 1968 Color Me Gone Charger funnycar kit . I don't rememeber ever seeing a molded in blue 1968 Coronet kit
  2. Even though I do own an airbrush. I use rattle cans almost exclusively. Although I have 2 builds planned for this fall that I think I may use an airbrush on, because it's a 3 color car. And I think I can control edge lines better and less chance of color bleed thru with an airbrush
  3. Yes, Johan is the one who made the 1963 Dodge back then How much an original sells for depends on who is looking at that particular time. They seem to sell pretty regularly in the $75 to $100(or more) range for a decent builder/builtup The one I bought a few months back was under $65 I think . The 1st one I have I paid $35 for, ( but thats been a while ) You just have to be patient deals do happen. The one and only piece I have from MCW is a resin 1965 Plymouth AFX car. But it is better than the R+R 1965 AFX Dodge I have Neither of then even come close to the quality of my 1965 Plymouth AFX from Speed City Resin
  4. 3 sources I know of ( all resin) Modelhaus. MCW and Jimmy Flintstone has one now I believe. I have not had any of them in my hand so I can't speak for quality of one over the other I have 2 originals( not for sale btw ) The 1st one I've had for years. 2nd one I just got a few months back on ebay. If your patient you can get Builtups ,, they pop up on ebay a semi regular basis .
  5. Easy one, Polar lights Barracuda funnycar
  6. watched about 20 minutes of it one night, thats 20 minutes I'll never get back.
  7. Being talked about that it's a Hemi car http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=Test&Number=7782395&Searchpage=1&Main=7782308&Words=+gtx6970&topic=&Search=true#Post7782395
  8. Tube chassis cars didn't show up till sometime approx late 1972 or 1973 . so prior to that it would be a basically stock floorpan with maybe some aftermkt suspsension traction aids
  9. Pretty cool, I've got a couple autographed kits ( all unbuilt stuff ) I like his videos, and he sure can drive
  10. WOW, and I gotta add in here ,,,,The term ' Holy chit ' just doesn't quite seem to be sufficient
  11. Sorry, but nothing in this ' list ' nails it for me. Customs, , hot rods or street rods do anything for me I like style , character, and am a huge fan of late 50's to very early 60's fin cars and muscle cars . And early 60's to early 70's drag cars. primarily Stocks, Super Stocks, and funny cars I have zero interest in altereds, gassers . or much of anything race car wise newer than approx 1973 - 1974 time frame
  12. I built this one long before the current box top edition . It's pretty close even though my build is not the car pictured on the box
  13. Looks amazing. and as an fyi, On a 1955 Chrysler 300 - an outside rear view mirror was not avail either as standard or as an option
  14. Probably one of my favorite pics I've ever taken
  15. I'll take a set when they're ready . I've got several 73-74 MPC duster builders
  16. I like it. Well done. I used to watch the show every day when I got home from school. It was one of my favorite shows I've got one of these kits to do i the near future
  17. I didn't read the article attached BUT, I know the owner of the bird pictured and although I'm not 100% certain, I am pretty sure the car in question is NOT restored. Which would put the paint sometime in the 1970-1973 time frame. I do know the car has had some maint work done but don't think any of it was exterior paint related. I believe it's mostly been tires / brake / chassis / driveline maint / upkeep in the name of safety and reliability only. Current owner bought the car from the flipper that bought it directly from Ramo Stot .( aka original owner/driver) Ramo held on to the car, and instead of reskining it to a more modern body style as rules mandated back then . It remained in it's last race configuration. Which I believe was last raced in the early to mid 70's
  18. VERY nice. I've had this one on my to do list for some time. I just can't get a break on buying a comet kit to start with .
  19. Looking really good so far , keep it up. I'll have to keep an eye on this one. I have thought about building one of these as well as an early 250 GTO for myself
  20. The TA is not for me, and I have several Dusters already. BUT,,,,The rebel sounds interesting. But for me personally have no need for the interior tub ( I am thinking funnycar body )
  21. To this day one of my personal all time favorite cars , by any maker. I have a couple of the kits unbuilt, an original dealer promotional and a Turbine car AM radio I had one come up behind me at the Mopar Nats a few years back. And until it was right up on you, you really couldn't hear it run. But once it was close it sounds like a hair dryer on steriods . I'm going off of memory but I think there were 10 saved and sent to various museums around the country. The rest were sent thru the crusher . Best I remember there are only 3 or 4 that run today http://www.turbinecar.com/ is a pretty neat site to look around for info if you want to learn more.
  22. Sorry, this one may not be the answer your looking for. But I did the contest scene for several years, even won a few . Now I no longer build models to please a judge who most likely has no idea if my stuff is accurate or not. I build to please me and me alone. In the past 15 years I've been to a total of 2 contests and have only entered builds on one of them ( didn't place with any either) I went to show off my daughters build and hang with some friends I don't see much
  23. Just got an original AMT 1970 Mustang Mach 1, builtup.
