  1. No one has mentioned Tom Slick either.
  2. MeTV shows 3 hours of cartoons on Saturday mornings now.
  3. Looks good so far. Good luck with the decals. ?
  4. Welcome to the forum!
  5. Nice work! My father in law had a 51 Business Coupe when I met him. He was a truck driver and gear head. I think I scored points when I immediately identified it.
  6. This is what really sucks about getting old. All my heroes are dying. RIP Bobby.
  7. I had tickets to see the entire Apollo 11 crew at the Huntsville Space Museum in Alabama on the 20th anniversary of the moon landing. It was one of the rare times that they all appeared together. Three days before that, I broke my back racing a go kart. STUPID! I still have the ticket stubs. I was so disappointed. RIP, Michael Collins, another true American hero.
  8. 1956 Buick 4 door. It wasn't a boat, it was a battleship!
  9. V for vaccination sale. Everything is 20% off.
  10. First, spray the lighter of the two colors first. Definitely spray some coats of clear before masking. Use some good modelers tape like Tamiya, don't use regular masking tape. After you shoot the clear, apply the tape and then shoot another coat or two to seal the edge of the tape and prevent the second coat from bleeding under the edge of the tape. When you remove the tape, pull it away from the second color. Good luck.
  11. Google museum glue. It's really more of a putty. I bought some of this and it works great. Get some long toothpicks and cut the tip off one end and put a small blob of this stuff on it. You can hold and place the tiniest parts. It's sticky enough to hold small parts but leaves no residue. I couldn't build without it.
  12. Welcome, Al. Looking forward to seeing the Brabham.
  13. Welcome, Coach! I've been to Greenville a couple of times. The Farmers Daughter is the bomb!
  14. I've read this before (maybe you posted it) and I'm going to try this technique on my next build with chrome. Thanks!
  15. That's the best choice you could ever make. Hope you health improves too.
  16. I suggest nitrile gloves. Keeps your greasy fingers off the model and keeps the glue and paint off your hands.
  17. Very clever custom. Excellent paint too.
  18. Try Hobbylinc. Their prices are discounted in most cases.
  19. My advice is to build something that doesn't require a 2 tone paint job or a lot of bare metal chrome work. Those vettes look like a good choice.
  20. Use a clean container and strain your paint through a good 190 micron paint filter and you won't need another filter in the container.
  21. Everclear might work but the alcohol I use is isopropyl alcohol, sometimes called rubbing alcohol. I bet Everclear is more expensive.
  22. It'll take color coats off with ease but I've always had difficulty getting it to remove Tamiya primer.
  23. She was recently on Good Girls and was excellent. +1 for the Grand Prix role.
