My wife bought this for me because I used to build them and the VW repair shop.

 the last buggy I built was long ago and I believe was a 1/20 scale kit.

This was a quick fun kit to build!

Great color and very nice paint job. Very clean looking build. I would guess that having built a few 1:1's back in the day you know how they're supposed to look.

Sharp looking Manx and great color too !  :D   It's not your fault but UGH . . . that windshield frame . . . :wacko:

Unfortunately we actually got some in 1:1 that were that bad.:lol:

Very, very nice, a super-clean build. And I noticed that you painted the lower body black, the way most of the real ones I've seen were. For some reason most of the built models I've seen of this kit paint the whole body in color. That's a nice touch on yours, and I like it! Model on! B)

yep, when you pulled the bodies out of the mold it wasn't a pretty sight and as rough as the glass was about the only way of hiding it was to paint it matt black.

The last we built we were using a diluted rubberized undercoating pumped out of a 55 gallon barrel.
