Paul Hettick Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 This was made from an JoHan repop 4 dr promo. the interior was made by modifying a 57 300 unit. 1
misterNNL Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 A massive project for sure. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Now you're just toying with me! You did do a resin version of this to sell..........right? Steve
Paul Hettick Posted January 11, 2019 Author Posted January 11, 2019 Thanks all! Sorry Steve did this a while back before I started doing the resin thing. Made one other in Black/ Pink I will try to find the pics of.
Spex84 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Striking subject matter and super-clean execution. Beautifully done! The fact that it started as a 4-door is extra impressive.
MrObsessive Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 That's absolutely BEAUTIFUL Paul! You're a braver man than I cutting up those old promos.....X-El's notwithstanding! I have a couple of them I thought about converting ('59 Dodge to a '58 for instance), but cringe at the thought of cutting up that old plastic! Your results were well worth it though...........maybe someday for me.
TooOld Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Beautiful ! Great conversion to a 2-door , beautiful paint , great detailing . . . WOW !
TarheelRick Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Outstanding build. The color choice is straight from the '50's, I remember well those colorful days.
baycolony Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Simply stunning! I am impressed with the cleanliness of this build, especially the chrome work. how did you do the scripts?
bbowser Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Amazing work and great photos! Keep them coming.
W-409 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Excellent job with that conversion! Great to see something different in scale, and this definitely qualifies in that category! I like the color choice and the overall look, but that flawless BMF work caught my eyes. That's an important thing to get right on a car that has this much chrome, but you nailed it.
Paul Hettick Posted January 12, 2019 Author Posted January 12, 2019 Thanks all for the kind remarks. The photo etch Saratoga scripts are from the 57 Chrysler 300 Model Car Garage photo etch set. It also has New Yorker and Windsor scripts.
Koellefornia Kid Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Looks very nice! Love the color combo!
