Hello, everyone. Because of this model, I started building American cars because a few years ago I had a metal model in the 1 / 18 Mercury Marauder of 1964 and again I wanted to buy it, but I came across this Electra 225 in search. With its shapes, it reminds me a lot of Marauder. So I started buying AMT. The kit is worse with the quality of the moulds, shakes everywhere, probably old forms. But again a big plus, both the body and the chassis were not twisted at all. I like the unique body, interior, bumper and chassis assembly system. It was all for each other and screwed in four screws. Perfect system for me. The rearview mirrors weren't, so I refilled the side from the junkyard. I still have a second Electra 225 unbuilt, so I'm looking forward to it again.

You have done an excellent job on this build.  Very clean and a good color choice.  I have one in my stash and this build may make me move it up the line.  These older AMT repops are fun to build.  They are quite simple with the everything molded chassis and tub interiors.  In their simplicity they give you an opportunity to experiment with some different building techniques.

The old "Deuce and a quarter" as she was known here in Motown!

When men were men and women were women and bumpers were covered in chrome!

It doesn't get any better than that !

Great build!!!
