Johnny Mac Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Hello everyone, it's been a while since I was modelling, but a welcome return has been this AMT Ford C 900. The truck is actually a Round 2 reissue which is beautifully moulded and packaged, really impressive. The only difficulty I found was getting the cab to sit correctly (it fouls the air filter) and the bumper has to be raised. The trailer is the earlier Matchbox / AMT mould. The 1957 Ford commercial catalogue shows this was the first year of production for the C900, so the mirrors, which were simpler on the early model had to be scratch built. The cars are AMT 1957 Fairlane's. Some weathering was applied as it seemed appropriate for a working vehicle. Thanks for looking. 1
oldnslow Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 very nice , love the older trucks and trailers .
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 First off, get ready for your post to be moved to the truck section. Second, that's a great looking combination! The Fairlanes are beautiful!! Steve
1hobby1 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Really awesome photos. Truck looks amazing. Well done!
RichCostello Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 All you need now, is a Revell 57 Custom sedan, and a Del Rio wagon on that trailer.

GLMFAA1 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Great job, only item is door emblem with side marker, pretty close to real thing. greg
TarheelRick Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Excellent build. Love the weathered look and those two Fairlanes are beautiful, one of my favorite Ford bodies.
Deathgoblin Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Very nice build on the truck and the cars!
Peter Lombardo Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Really, really well done...... I love the cab details. Just add a few more vehicles and it is ready to arrive at the dealership.
ewetwo Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 That is awesome. And I like your choice of cars to haul.
doggie427 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Very nicely done, just the right amount of subtle weathering. ?

grodudulle77 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Weathering, paint, assembly, all is perfect. Excellent work !???
Chuck Most Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Not to split hairs too much, but to make the truck a '57 you'd need to fill in the wiper motor access panels, add turn signals to the grille, change the door scripts, and backdate the engine. Kudos for adding the missing intake grille motif behind the door handles, a touch most builders don't bother with. Including me much of the time. That same basic cab was in production all the way up to 1990. The AMT kit is 1971-ish. That being said, the truck looks fantastic, and I love the weathering on it and the trailer. The '57s are great- I dig the contrast of the well-used tractor and trailer against the shiny new cars.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Wow. Extremely nice, everything about it.
