It is so awesome that you are using jack stands to hold your rear axle up here.

What an amazing build. Following this with huge anticipation.

Taking idea for rear set up from the 1:1 inspiration car.

And sourced some design info from Art Morrison Chassis.

As noticed got them painted,  impressive that they actually work like the 1:1's

I also enjoy watching the development of the chassis. I´d check the rotation direction on the tires. Hopefully you have enough steering angle for the front wheels, being a drift car.

Very cool build so far.

I LOVE threads like this!  The more detail the better, as far as I’m concerned - and I love seeing impressive scratch building like this!  Beautiful work!  Keep it coming!

Tyres will be ok for now, thanks for mentioning it though.

I hope there is enough steering, thinking the over fenders creating a wide body will help.

Agree detailed threads sharing the process of how things are achieved is the best thing about the forum. Have learnt a lot my self over the last decade from all the forums observed.

Not much detailed info of the process in this update, just roughed in for now to share a few pics to show the overall look of the set up.

Might to need get some paint on a few things, as to not get over whelmed later trying to do it all at once after the build process is over.

Thank you Anton.

Not much of an update, just showing still working on it.

Applied some primer to check for flaws and give it a light fill. Once thats sorted, black surfacer will be applied.

After doing some prep work on the body, decided to get the over fenders attached. Now the track can be finalized.

After that removed some of the stock wheel arches using a sanding drum, this gave clearance for the wheels.
Before.

After.
nB0TQFN.jpg

Couldnt resist to apply some 1500 black to see how it looks and do a mock of course.
Uw52PcH.jpg

Bit patchy as it was just very light quick coat.
U9SEzou.jpg

Going to need to thin the over fenders a small amount to get the wheels flush.
