I've started this today, it's been on the shelf for at least ten years. The company Modelzone went bust about then!  They left a big shop unit empty for at least two years in a local shopping mall. The start of the engine is in front of the box.

My bench has been a real mix today…spent hours ruining a Herbie kit, then cleaned up all the salt and pastels and plastic shavings to lay down some super-glossy clear.  Should’ve done the ‘clean’ paintjob first ?

After finishing my 53 Ford pickup yesterday, I spent some time this morning sorting through the aftermath and putting things away.

I straightened out the parts for my other project.. I have to finish my Studebaker Gullwing by end of this month for the Bring Out Your Dead project..

That's real skill when you can pull off a clean paint job and a weathered build simultaneously......... B)

Got my first try at BMF in 25 years done today. Turned out okay, definitely learned the value of a BRAND new knife blade. I may end up doing the window trim also now. Not happy with how the sharpie looks next to the BMF.

I got the leather fitted to the  seat for the supermodified (now, I need to imprint it). I also turned a magneto from three materials: steel for the shaft, aluminum for the body, and plastic for the cap. I'll get some photos later.

My workbench has piled up to the point I've dreaded going near it for several weeks now. Started cleaning it up a little today. Got it maybe half done. With luck I can get back to work and start cluttering it up again tomorrow.

I’m working on the interior of my 57 Chevy build so I can get it in primer…gonna need to do some head-scratching on how to get this steering wheel usable tho…

I’ve got a bunch of other (later) Chevy steering wheels here but they all scale out to be an inch or so larger and they start getting too close to the seat to where the driver wouldn’t be able to get his legs under them.

I can see some scratchbuilding in this project’s future…

Got a little bodywork and polishing done on the damaged '70 Vette promo I'm doing for this round of the BOYD build. But the main thing I "accomplished" was to do an honest assessment of the project and admit to myself that this will never be an "A" project, for a number of reasons, and to press on and gitter done as a fairly respectable shelf-sitter. Most people seeing it would never know the difference, but of course I will.

I'm cheating on the first picture, did this 5 days ago.  I've been adding shelves in the paint booth.  Since Model Master croaked, needed to put them somewhere.

Our model club has the display cabinet at the library this month, so I could empty out my display case.  Had more glass shelves cut, and edged, this week.  Today I made a jig to drill more holes.  It was dicy with all the glass and the drill. ?

I fixed the "short shot" missing panel on my '64 Cutlass HT resin body with "fauxberglass." Dreading doing this has kept me from building this thing for YEARS. Now it's done, and I can drive on. Details of the fix here:

Cool! I did same thing earlier this year.  Due to the angle of the sides on mine I had to remove the back panel to drill my holes.

You inspired me to do this!

After a long hiatus, finally managed to get some time spent using compounds and wax on this stalled build.

I just picked up this resistance soldering unit on Ebay. It had an odd switch wired into it. I opened it up and removed the switch, and spliced the circuit back together, covering the splice with heat shrink. Then, I made new plugs for my handset, and covered those connections with heat shrink. It works great! My other one does, as well, but it only "adjusts" on and off at either 15, 50 or 100 W.

That is beautiful! Love the gauges.

Thanks. They are actually a photo copy of the kit decals (I screwed up the actual decals), and covered with This G-S Hypo Cement that someone on here recommended. Now hopefully I can get a decent paint job on the body to match the dash. I’ve had to strip it and start over.?

Restarted the Kustom Beetle I started last summer, bought a new kit and started doing the filler related mods with that Bondic UV Resin. Also plan on doing an EV West style VW EV conversion on it too.

Started a build I started buying kits for in 2015 or 2016…….requires less work than expected so far?90AF63C6-EF17-4A06-9496-2A12BF054273.jpeg.bd89fe5a1cab70a5343f3029b232f5d6.jpegE3E64516-AF85-461F-BCD5-B32B3DDF3FC5.jpeg.b737060dbe699eca5ebdbd7ddd08c1c7.jpeg6D7FC1DB-4366-4C6D-80DD-FD0AA6774CCE.jpeg.dbc2369ba33578a548e5d884012437a0.jpeg

Dad and I are making a Sam’s Club run, but the Dremel is coming out when we get home and unleaded?
