Kit Basher Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 (edited) This is my first attempt at a candy paint job. Not perfect, but nothing I do ever is. This is a three part system: Autoborne yellow base, AutoAir "Championship Gold", and Candy2O "Blood Red". I added some spacers to the rear axle to get rid of the tail-dragger stance. If I do this kit again, I will add some coil springs instead. Added the "Cherry Bomb" mufflers, side pipes, and J.C. Whitney exhaust tips. I had some mesh left over from another kit, so I opened the hood vents. Suggestions for improvement always welcome. Edited March 11, 2020 by Kit Basher

Wm David Green Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 That's a gorgeous job you've done. Must admit I have the same kit in my stash, and other than re-engraving the near invisible door outlines, (presumably lost due to mold wear?), it's not been taken further.
Kit Basher Posted March 12, 2020 Author Posted March 12, 2020 Thanks, Jim! Thanks, William! Thanks, Gene!

espo Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 Besides being one of my favorite shades of Red the finish looks great. I like how you opened the Hood up, that adds so much to the overall look. your Wheel choice is perfect looking for this build.
