ModelcarJR Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 I built this incomplete Revell kit with parts from the parts box and a 283 engine from a 1957 Chevy 210 Sedan and other parts, plug wires, fuel line, heater hoses. I always wanted to build one in light blue (Skyline Blue) but couldn't find a light blue spray can I could use. This is Ironlac light blue, an acrylic lacquer. White is Krylon semi-gloss white. Inside and outside mirrors are from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland. Thanks for looking!
Jim B Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Very nice looking Bel-Air. Well done. The colors are perfect, and I like the white walls.
espo Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Beautiful showroom stock build. Nice timeless color scheme.
smellyfatdude Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Great build, jr! Always like your tri-fives and it's nice to see you post it here. You should take some fresh pics of this ' 56 you built, from that kit I sent you. Still hard to believe you took that flash covered piece of junk and made this out of it.
slusher Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Beautiful model Joe, glad to see you over here friend!
ModelcarJR Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Thanks all! I appreciate your very kind comments! Special thanks to SFD for reminding me of the Revell Hot Rod 56 Chevy kit that he sent me. It has a special spot on my shelves but I haven't taken it down in a while and I probably should to see if the doors still open! ? I will post some outdoor pics when I get them.
Motor City Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 Very nice! I toured the Goodyear blimp at the Spring, Texas hangar a number of years ago.
