RAMBENNA Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 both of these Chevells were fun builds with just a few small problems. I have built several of the AMT kits but the Revell is a awesome kit lots of parts and cool decals sheet. I plan on doing more of the Revell kit as well as the 68 kit. the red one is the AMT and the blue is the Revell kit.
Spottedlaurel Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Both very nice. If I had to pick a favourite I'd go for the blue one, how much of that is down to colour/wheel choice and Revell vs. AMT I don't know. If the Revell version goes together as well as I found with the '66 Chevelle Wagon then I'd happily give it a go myself.
Snake45 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Very nice, both! Thanks for showing them both together, I think this is the first time we've seen a direct comparison. Well done and model on!
cheyenne93 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Both are very nice!!!, but then I am partial to 68-69 chevelle and malibu. This is my (boyd) entry.
Matt T. Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Very nice! To my eye, Revell gets the win for accuracy, shape, etc. Looking forward to building mine...
espo Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 They both look great. Knowing that the Revell is a much newer tool, I wonder if you have any feelings as to one being better than the other ?
Jim B Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Very nice looking Chevelles. I have the Revell 1968 Chevelle in the stash, and I have built the AMT 1970 Chevelle. It was a simple kit, and it looks ok to me.

Classicgas Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Beautiful! Did you do any correcting on the rear of the Revkit?
Dragonhawk1066 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Sweet job on both of them!! I've heard horror stories about the AMT kit, but yours sure looks nice. What color blue did you use on the Revell kit, it looks great??!! I'll also second what Snake said about showing both together, the best way to compare!
Grumpa Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Beautiful pair of Chevelle's Cliff! You can spot quite a few differences between the Revell and AMT. The Revell looks to be a bit more accurate.
