Dave Armstrong Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 (edited) Another one from many years ago, a showrod kitbash; combined Tom Daniel's T'Rantula + Tommy Ivo's 4 engine dragster, surgically altered to mate with the cab of the T'Rantula, altered front chassis/axle for the low profile front tires. Richard Carroll tires. Paint is Testor's Boyd Black-N-Blue Pearl, has tiny metallic flecks- looks either dark blue or dark purple, depending on the light. Edited May 31, 2021 by Dave Armstrong
alan barton Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 From a time when we built models for fun and to be creative, rather than trying to achieve a photographic likeness of the real thing! I love it. It would have been right at home on the cover of Model Car Science or Car Model magazines back in the day! Cheers Alan
89AKurt Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 I have that Ivo kit, don't know why. ? Nice job being creative!
Claude Thibodeau Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 Hi Dave! Very clever, kind of a double-scoop of showmanship... Bravo! Do I see that it is a solid-axle front end set-up? Just curious... CT
espo Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 Great job combining these two kits. You know Ivo would have done something like that if he'd thought of it.
lordairgtar Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 (edited) Those tires are awesome. I knew they were offered during the 70s Edited June 3, 2021 by lordairgtar
