damodelguy az Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 started with a screwbottom 58 ford thunderbird hardtop, kitbashed with 57 del reo wagon. seen a few of these i really like the idea, even real pics. never cared for back wheel placement, so i moved mine back.
EngineerBob Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Great looking model! I love to see such well executed kit-bashed models.
espo Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 I can see where changing the wheel base makes the rear overhang look better. Very smooth blending of the two bodies. Almost wonder why Ford didn't think if this when they went to the 4 seater Bird. Great looking color.
Kah puts Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Well worth the effort, period color is fantastic.
carbuilder1950 Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 I've seen this body style in resin on Ebay and like them, but thought about building one like you have. I like the rear wheels moved back and the color you chose. It's a nice looking conversion, and very believable?
Sam I Am Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 I wish my mind worked just a little bit like yours. WoW...just WoW...
disconovaman Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 I'm impressed! That should be a resin or a 3D kit... I'd buy it!
Zippi Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 Nicely done. The backdrop looks pretty kewl. Great job.
Claude Thibodeau Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 Hi Glen! Looks OEM, very good idea. Bravo! CT
the goon Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Very well done. Wish there had been a full size version done. Mark
