John Goschke Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 (edited) I'm happy that this one is finished after all this time and reasonably satisfied with the result. These pics don't do justice to the Candy Lime color and I may attempt more photos later against different backgrounds to try and capture the iridescent quality of the paint. If anyone else should decide to build a model from one of these bodies, contact me and I'll be happy to let you know what I did, and, more importantly, should've done! Oldcarfan27 Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Stunning! What kind of plastic is it molded in? Originating as a toy, I always thought they came in that rubbery, acetate plastic. That's why I never tried very hard to find one. Thought about mixing a Skyliner and a Ranchero to get one though. 1

Thanks, Patrick. It was molded in styrene, like a kit. You have to look for ones that are straight and unwarped. They came without windows or an interior, with a metal friction motor chassis. They're usually molded in a coral color, or bright yellow, and sometimes, red. I found this one on ebay about two years ago.
