I finally have an update. The interior is wrapped up. I need to polish the glass and hope the glue marks are not visible or I will need replacements. 

Bmf is my nemesis. I need to foil four projects that are stalled because of that.

I know it's early but hopefully we'll see the Roster grow like Chia-Pets in a rain forest.. ? I've added the abbreviations STC for Subject To Change to your entry if you haven't decided exactly what you're building. I'll alter the Roster as we get further along and I'm happy to change it at any time as I did last year. I like the concept so I added it to the official rules. I'll add to and update the Roster as we turn each page.

I'm seeing some fun projects already! I anticipate more along the way as well. I'm eager to get this one started. I'm still weighing my options on a project myself. 

Sadly I have to bow out of this, life got in the way.

Some progress to #1 the 1987 All new GM 1500. So tonight the LSX454 got some headers. Still need some finishing touches as paint and weathering. Also the wheels have been chosen, at last! They need to be stripped and then painted but at least hey have been turned down to fit within the Pegasus sleves. The offsets shown here is probably what will end up on the truck. Ride hight is good maybe 1mm lower in the rear.

Some more progress, engine have gotten some ignition wires and a home made drysump pump. It felt like I had to do it since the corvette oil pan without the “bat” piece is so shallow. And I guess it did’t hurt since it’s suppose to be a high HP natural aspirated Engine made for street, strip and I guess track use. So next up is the other pieces of this oiling system. I have also started to look where to go with the exhaust and extra fuel tank.

I'm calling this one done. This is the red Monogram 79 Mustang kit that passes for an 81 too. I borrowed the chassis plate from from the later 92 convertible kit for the dual exhaust, the engine is from the Monogram pace car version of the 79 kit. I swapped the manual for a parts box C4, four barrel intake is from the MPC 79 pace car kit, the Predator carb is 3d printed, the valve covers are from a Revell 32 Ford, and the triangle air cleaner is from the Moebius 64 Nova. I cut the top off and used the MPC filler panel for the T-tops and made the gaskets from Evergreen. I built the auto shifter in the console then added a cb to the passenger side along with a whip antenna on a vintage style trailer hitch. The wheels are from Fujimi and the tires and decals are from Fireball.

I wanted to build this in 1981 style so I lifted the rear and added the cb and antenna. The Predator carb and air cleaner also add to the classic flair.

I'm going to shoot some better shots when I get another background printed but I wanted to put something up.

1980 Porsche 911 Targa Carrera Targa Outlaw

After a four-month build, I’m pleased to add my 911 to the completed Cannonball builds.

The goal of the car was to make an outlaw 911 that retained the refinement of a Porsche, but still held some “grit” of a purpose-built Cannonball entrant. Initially, the idea was a simple straight from the box build with modified colors. But, as the build progressed, I wanted to make a full outlaw. So, the body was simplified with the removal of bumper trim and rear bumperettes. The body itself received a non-factory muted green color (Tamiya grey-green) with metallic grey and matte black trim and accents.

The interior received a two-tone black and tan color scheme to compliment the exterior. Seat belts were added with 3D-printed seat belt guides and anchors securing them.

The engine is where the greatest modifications took place. The exhaust and ITBs were designed in Fusion360 (as were all 3D-printed parts) and printed. The exhaust itself is tubular and removes the heater core for greater performance. The intake is composed of six individual throttle bodies with fuel injection. Furthermore, an oil cooler was placed in the front bumper and fully plumbed into the engine. Additionally, clutch linkage was added underneath. Printed oil tank, oil thermostat and clutch linkage were made. Ignition wires, throttle linkage, fuel lines and oil lines complete the engine.

Finally, the wheels were modeled on the classic Campognolo wheels and printed to fit the kit tires.

Great Details Brian, you would never know the complexity of the build if you didn't know the kit. I'll admit that I'm not familiar with these kits... Nice Job. and well done.

I always try to list out where I got all the extra parts from in case anyone looking wants to use the same part they know where to find it. I also enjoy finding just the right parts to execute my vision of a build. I put a lot of work, and unfortunately money, into rounding up all the various bits and bobs I'm looking for. And I agree, for something so stock appearing there's a lot going on.

Needed to do some adjustments to fit the grill as intended. So I also opened up the grill area to give it some more detail. I also think I will use a AMTcorvette radiator in the back but some more mods will be needed since It interferes with the engine at the moment. More on that later.

I've been trying to keep an eye on everyone's builds and still plan on finishing mine. Still been busy working on my full scale truck and doing some weathering on it now. A little peroxide , salt and vinegar.

I just went back and re-read the entire thread and realized some mistakes I had made. I've corrected all the errors and this is the finished builds list so far... I'm confident that I've got it sorted out, however if anyone sees something please call me out. ? I try to do my best with updating the Roster but atleast 3 entries snuck in there and were off my radar. This is an impressive list of finished hopefuls here I must say. Stunning builds! I hope we can all take a page out of these builders books and finish our own YOB builds! LET'S FINISH THIS CANNONBALL RUN STRONG!!!????????
