Steve, I'm digging this a lot. I really like the looks of the first and last ones... but if you're going gold I don't know man

Thanks Jeremy. Colour will be similar to this…

Bob, are the fender vents out of a Monogram 1/24?

I was thinking of doing the same thing for a while and was wondering how they would fit.

Dude!!!

I absolutely love this satin metallic red!

What company produces this paint, or is it sprayed with semigloss clear?

It's beautiful!

Hi Derek, the colour is GM medium Garnet red with Mr. Hobby super smooth matte clear. The second photo shows how the colour looks with gloss clear. Totally changes it..

Starting to gain some momentum on this build, thought I’d throw a few wheel choices out for opinion. The car will be matte pearl green, chrome  will be stripped and blacked out. Wheel hoops will be black, centres will be gold/bronze.

The wheel sets I find most appealing are 1, 3 and 4.

The others just sort of disappear under the car.

Yes they are. The body fits the Revell Cuda chassis/interior very well. I cut out the cowl and fender edges off the 70 Cuda as well. The tail panel needed some trim work to fit the Johan body. Lastly I made 71 taillights with separate bezels and lens to fit the 70 taillight openings.

Thanks Steve, that's so cool how the color changes so drastically.

I'm heading to the hobby store today to look for that Mr. Hobby super smooth matte!

Thanks again for sharing...

Updated mock up of my WIP wide body Caddy. Final wheel choice made! I have some different tires for it now, but profile is the same.

something that was built by somebody else and been on the shelf for many many years. Gonna give her the once over shown here with a wheel swap. Keeping the paint. I'll explain when I create the build thread.

Quick mess around with the DDA Custom Blown Holden HQ sedan, fitted up some Aoshima Cragar style wheels to see how they would look.

I'm guessing that it sits so low because the engine weighs more than 2/3 of the entire rest of the car? :D

Wild mock-up, it should look great when it's done.

Bought 2 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertibles for $20. Same models, ARII & IMEX. One is missing some chrome, tires and windshield frame. The other is complete. Don't know what im going to do yet. Stock build or slam the complete. Or attempt to stretch and make a convertible limo.20230314_141408.thumb.jpg.f8cbe72681be1f69a94f04f8d248563e.jpg

CBR 2023 entry, Accord Wagon bodyshell sitting on a stretched NSX floorpan. Themes in the running were wagons and mid-engined, for some reason I combined both. In the end it went to Run-What-You-Brung, which certainly covers it....
