gseeds Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Over the years I’ve been very lucky to have owned some pretty cool cars, and when I first started building models I had planned to build a model of a few of my favorites , at least the ones that I still had a picture of, well that was 1993 and I’m just now starting to build some of my favorite cars I’ve owned over the years, Here’s a couple cars I once owned as a teenager , in 1977 at 17 years old I had a 1956 Chevy with a 6 cylinder and 2 speed automatic transmission and in 1979 at age 19 a 1957 Chevy with a 327 and Muncie 4 speed, both super fun cars , I’ve owned a lot of cars in my life so I’m planning on building more of these and will post them as I get em done, thanks for looking! 6
Doug 1061 Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 BITCHIN' DUDE!!! Some cool rides there. Always fun to build a car or truck you or one of your friends or relatives owned. 1 1
Spottedlaurel Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 They're excellent! Look forward to seeing more of them. Both 1:1s had a very clean look by the standards of the time. 1
1972coronet Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 NICE !! 1956 is my fave year of the 'Tri-Fives'; your example -- 1:1 and 1/25-- is splendid. That '57 has a nice, sedate-yet-lively colour combo. Another outstanding replica! 1
Bainford Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Nice looking Chevys, Gary, both the models and the 1:1. I quite like the colours on the '57' 1
espo Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Great looking pair of Tri Fives and I remember the long rear shackles as well. Like you I have built a few of the past rides and enjoy the memories that come back to you. Note my avatar of the '67 El Camino from that time. 396/4-speed postreaction. With no weight over the rear-end I bought a lot of rear tires. 1
happy grumpy Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Outstanding replicas . Both are awesome. Even in the seventies these were cool . I like both of them. 1

Ulbo Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 Nice builds and good idea to make these as replicas of the real cars? 1
Hoffman Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Very nice, Gary! Looks like you grew up in So-Cal. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next one. ? 1
bisc63 Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 All nice, but the '56 is SHARP! Don't Cragars look perfect on a'57?! Well done. 1
donb Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Very well done, as usual, looking forward to seeing more. 1
Claude Thibodeau Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Hi Gary! Great reproductions, and of course, world class paint. Bravo! CT 1
doorsovdoon Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Nice work on both. I really like the red '56. I'd love to build a model of some of the cars I've owned but no such models exist. 1
Toys4Don2 Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Two beautiful replicas. Definitely some sweet rides!! 1
