Terry Jessee Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 (edited) Yeah, I know the muffler and catalytic converter are reversed. Terry Edited March 19, 2022 by Terry Jessee 6
Chariots of Fire Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 That's cool! Nice everyday truck. Think I have one back in the stash.
iamsuperdan Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Where did you get the WT-spec grille? I found one source, can't remember who. Doesn't look as good as yours does.
avidinha Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 (edited) Nice truck! It looks very familiar. Edited March 20, 2022 by avidinha
vincen47 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Oooh, now that’s a beautiful truck. Great paint. Love the work/fleet specs.
bisc63 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Excellent workin' man's truck. The roads around here were full of these for years, but few so clean!
espo Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Great looking work truck, almost too nice to take to the job sight. I like the bed toolbox addition.
Plowboy Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 Nice looking base Chevy Terry! I plan on doing the same thing with the 454 SS to build a phantom. Did you use the long bed frame?

Frame is a combination of a Modelhaus front (to make a more detailed Extended Cab chassis) and the rear from a 454SS.

Be aware that Jeff is a one-man operation swamped to the gills and does take some time to get product out. But product is excellent. 1

He was able to cast and send me a couple. The crispness of the casting is excellent for sure, but when unpainted, some of the details seem off. They look great on your build though, so maybe I just need to get some paint on them.
Oldcarfan27 Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Light Commercial. By Terry Jessee. Love all your work. I used to read your articles back in the 80s - 90s in the other mag. This truck is no exception, love the execution!
Saltie Olds Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 I remember reading about this truck in an issue of SAE. When I was able to, I ordered that same grille from Uptown Automotive. I had a ‘98 Chevy C2500, with the 8-Lug wheels, and want to build a model of how I wanted to get that truck all fixed up the way I wanted it.
