I finished this awhile ago and I'm not real happy with the way it came out. My engineering was not up to my liking. I will keep it to myself as to what I don't like. I wasn't going to post it but with seeing all of the '30 coupes being posted, I figure, what the hay...

Paint is a custom mix of the Testors Extreme Lime Ice and Emerald Green, making it 'frog green'.

W engine from AMT, the two 2x3 intakes and carbs are from the Nailhead in the Revell '30 Coupe kits modified to fit the Chevy engine. Frog mouth scoops from RMCM with aftermarket chromed plating

Interior door panels and seats from the Rat Roaster. '40 dash from the Revell 5ive window coupe.

The roof opening was modified to look more like a stock opening, the insert is from the roof of a Revell '32 sedan.

A bunch of other parts from the parts pile....

Looks fantastic !  What's not to like ?  I would be thrilled if any of my models turned out that good. I guess we are our own worse critics.

This is my kind of hot rod,  the green paint job is awesome, and the stance is right on, the tinted side glass adds another dimension of cool. Bravo.

Great looking paint finish and color. I like the old-style shinny vinyl seats. The engine choice sets it in the '50's with the 348/409 engine.

Only if you mean '58 or '59! Definitely a '60s thru early 70s vibe. I could see that metal flake goodness on the cover of 1970 Rod & Custom!

RRR, that is one gorgeous rod you've pieced together!

Looks great. I think the “frog green” came out perfect. What kit did the chrome valve covers come from?

Beautiful! Where did the wheels come from?

Thanks! The rear wheels and tires are from the Boot Hill Express, same wheels and tires in the Lil Coffin kit. Front tires are from Modelhaus and the front wheels are from my parts stash, sorry, I'm not sure what kit. -RRR

The valve covers are from some AMT version of the W motor, I picked them up on eBay. Here's what I found elsewhere here:

You can get some 348/409 performance parts in these kits.
The AMT old tool 57 Chevy has a S.c.O.T style blower with 4 carbs, headers and finned valve covers.
The AMT 58 Impala has a tri-power intake, a Spalding Flame Trower magneto and headers.
The AMT 62 Bel Air and Impala Convertible has a dual 4 bbl inline intake manifold, a dual 4 bbl cross ram intake manifold and offenhauser valve covers.
The AMT 62 Bel Air Super Stock kits has a dual 4 bbl intake, tube headers and the Z-11 two piece intake manifold and air cleaner.
The AMT original issue 63 Impala had a Hilborn style Fuel Injection, finned valve covers and Hedman Headers, unfortunately nothing of that is in the later issues.
The AMT 64 Impala has a roots style blower with a two port injector and scoop, headers and finned valve covers.

I hope this helps.... -RRR

You sir, are like an encyclopedia for hotrod parts. It’s greatly appreciated.
I always wanted to put a 409 W motor between Deuce rails and what has stopped me is that I can’t find the proper chromed valve covers.

Wow! Thanks a lot brother! I just bought it. Now it will go in the box full of engines that need models to be created around them.

"She's so fine, my 409...."

Perfect!!!! -RRR
