Chuck Most Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 This is the @IceMan Collections printed resin kit. It was a limited run and I managed to nab one of the last of the milk truck version. After debating on a paint scheme I thought "why not just use the supplied graphics?" It's tubbed at both ends to represent an "aired out" suspension with Pegasus wheels and tires. Paint is good old Krylon chalky rattle can paint, distressed with salt, Vallejo rust washes, AK Interactive weathering pencils, and Monroe powders. Inside is a GM tilt column, a ridiculous stereo system, the air suspension components... And a crate containing a quartet of milk bottles. 8
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 Pretty cool. Some of the best rust and weathering I've ever seen.
espo Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 The finish is so realistic looking, and I like the aired-out stance.
Koellefornia Kid Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Love it! Cool subject with a great stance and nice wheels! I admire your weathering job! Looks very realistic ?
slusher Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Looks fantastic, very realistic weathering! The graphics are very cool!!
happy grumpy Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Great weathering technique, I remember seeing those when I was young, and later on as an adult in junkyards , the look is amazing.
NitroMarty Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 To cool and totally spot on for what folks are doing with vintage delivery vans in the real world....
misterNNL Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Outstanding model! I love these things finished like yours. Jimmy Flintstone offers several versions with varying wheelbases. I hope more builders will post their versions here for us to be inspired by.
PatW Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Absolutely fantastic! I built the JF Resin Metro truck last year, with a similar finish. I don't know if Ice Man Collections ship to the UK, but it may be too costly for a pensioner.
Street Rod Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 That’s awesome cool! Great job building and weathering, it looks very realistic.
Modlbldr Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I live the look of what you did with this one. Great weathering and a superb finish. Later-
crowe-t Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 This is really cool. Can you post some underside pictures?
