As many may have read in the past I was involved in a very serious car accident in September. I wasn't sure about my recovery at that time and was considering giving up on building. I've been feeling pretty good and physical therapy is helping so I thought I would tackle this MPC Paddy wagon just to get my feet wet again. Pretty much built out of the box with some painting details to see how steady I was. I also drilled out the exhaust because it didn't look right being flat and filled the body holes for the police accessories. I did mess up one decal because I had not used setting solution on it yet although others had setting solution. If anybody has the flame decals from the monogram 39 Chevy sedan delivery I would love to fix this.                                                           I really did enjoy this kit and think I'll probably get another one or two. I hope you enjoy the build also.

Nice build Andy. I bet your glad you decided to get back into building again. Those Willys gassers always look good and yours looks great. Your paint really shines.

Cheers, David. ??

That looks pretty sharp!  I did one decades ago in metallic blue and, ironically enough, used those same flames.  Unfortunately I displayed it under glass at an outdoor car show here in Western Australia and the roof collapsed in the heat.  Fixable but it hasn't happened yet! Good luck on your therapy - sounds like it is working!

Cheers

Glad to see you're on the mend from your accident. The build looks great and probably good therapy for you as well.

Thanks for the compliments and encouragement. For a simple snap type kit it sure looks good on the shelf. I recommend it for a quick slump-buster.
