Joe Handley Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 1 hour ago, oldscool said: These cars are better than people give them credit for aren't they. My ride for the last eight years has been a 2013 dodge Avenger that currently has 140000 miles on it. Definitely, only "problem" I have is front tire wear, but 283hp, a heavy right foot, and lack of rotations probably has more to do with that then actual mechanical and/or design issues. A friend of mine in Michigan had an '08 Sebring for a while that his Dad ended up buying from him and I'm pretty sure his Dad was actively trying to kill it, he totaled it with well over 200k on the 2.7l V-6, which at one time was an absolute no-loan approval on cars with those engines on the used market. I'd be shocked if it wasn't repairable with new fender, hood, bumper, light, and maybe suspension parts for the left front corner, so long as it wasn't too rotted out.

Always wanted to live in AZ and have been told that Prescott is one of the better towns to live in. Thank you. It's not a secret about Prescott, growing like crazy (what place isn't). I actually printed this out. 6
Rob Hall Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I like Prescott..used to go up there and Flagstaff often when I lived in Phoenix to try and escape the heat... 2
cobraman Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I have family there and it is a very nice place. I like to go to old town. 2
Sledsel Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 I just took ownership of this 49 Merc. I was brave and drove it 900+ miles home. I was not waiting for no damn transport truck!!! 7
Captain Spaulding Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 (edited) It's not quite ready for the road yet, after 7 months work it's getting there. Some interior work and paint and should be ready to hit the road Edited October 14, 2022 by Captain Spaulding 3
Carmak Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Just got this on the road. Original Nevada car (solid body / baked interior). 1960 Buick LeSabre. 7
mchook Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Brought this home yesterday. We ordered it back in May. 1
W Humble Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I drive (on nice days!) my restomod '71 Datsun 240Z, with '75 L-28 built by Pettersen Motorworks, Chico CA and 'steel-syncho' 5-speed. The rest (every bit) I did myself: 4-wheel disc brakes, Hobrecht roll bar, early SU carbs, Japanese home-market exhaust manifold (w/o smog fitting holes), 20th Anniversary leather seats, Tokiko suspension, Konig 8-spoke rims, and almost finished air conditioning. Alternating with a restored '62 LeMans ragtop, 4-bbl. 3.25L four, A/T, and the stock solid flex driveshaft, and transaxle. White, white interior, black top. Otherwise, a '07 GMC Canyon 4-dr half-ton; replacing my neato '72 C-10 (350, 5-speed) which was one truck too many! Finishing up Dad's old '51 Chevy two-door sedan: 350, 5-speed, four wheel discs, FiTech Fuel Injection, Sanderson headers, HEI, battery in trunk, etc. Restored with original green metallic lacquer (by me), black vinyl interior, new tinted glass, custom gauges, and about $2K in over-priced chrome/stainless. It's actually gone to my son, who is paying the parts tab, but I still get to drive it, he says! Wick
iamsuperdan Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Got some decent pics of the new truck. 2022 F150 Lariat with the3.5L PowerBoost hybrid engine. Spec'd it out with most of the good stuff, including the big stereo, big sunroof, and the onboard generator. And I went with the CO-Pilot 360 Active 2.0 option, which includes Blue Cruise hands-free driving. Added a 2.5" lift kit and some Goodyear Duratrac tires, lined canopy, full clear stoneguard wrap on the front end, and a dashcam. I've had it since July 9 and now have almost 8000km on it, which is roughly 5000 miles. Hybrid engine has been great. You don't see much improvement in economy on the highway, but driving around town is huge. The truck does around 900-950km (590 miles roughly) per tank, and of that about 200km (125miles) are in pure electric mode. And the hybrid comes with a smaller gas tank that the other models. 98L (26 gallon) as opposed to 136L (36 gallon.) So I'm pretty happy with this. The generator works great. Have used it camping to keep phones and cameras fully charged, plus our electric cooler. Saves having to keep picking up bags of ice to keep everything cold. Have also used it to charge our weed whacker and lawnmower batteries. 2
NYLIBUD Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 I have two rides. The first is a 2001 Jeep Cherokee.Came from a local 4x4 shop.(So no I didn’t build it),but i couldn’t resist buying it for the price, after i had wrecked my 2000 Cherokee, when i had a blowout in it,and then I hit a high spot on the curb and basically destroyed my entire front end(suspension),with the whole passenger side getting the brunt of it.I loved that thing.☹️I was so pissed when i wrecked it.It had a 6,1/2 inch lift,on 35 inch tires,a snorkel,a winch, and a few other things..It was too far gone to repair it.So i stripped it,and then had to scrap it..And then i have an ex detectives car.An 09 Crown Vic P71,police package. It’s got a 4.6,we blacked out the whole car(no chrome).I Threw on a set Flow Master cat back mufflers, and a cold air in take. The car moves, especially when u get it on the high way.You can beat the hell out of it,and keep on going.I hardly drive the CV,especially with gas prices. Both are good cars.
TarheelRick Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 (edited) This is my daily driver now, since this picture was taken I have added a bull bar and a topper shell. It has a 5.0, 10 speed 400 hp, 410 lbs./ft torque: This is my other than daily driver, 16 ft. 50 hp: Edited August 28, 2022 by TarheelRick
Doug 1061 Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 My daily driver. 2015 F150. I can't believe how hard it is to find a 4 or 5 year old truck that is not beat. If you want some entertainment walk into a dealer and tell them you want a regular cab truck. Every dealer I walked into they looked at me like I landed in a flying saucer and was a little green man. Nothing but 4 doors everywhere. I remember a time when you couldn't give a 4 door truck away. How times have changed. My now spare truck. 95 F150 that I got brand new Halloween of 94. Still in great shape body wise, 265,000 mi. on the ticker. 4.9 5 speed. Has been a workhorse since day one. It has literally been used as a garbage truck, it saved our hides a few times when I was in the trash biz. I'll have it till I'm dead. My pleasure horse. 2014 Honda CB1100. This is the best of all the retro bikes out there. Very fun toy.
426 pack Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 I guess I can finally add my 06 Ford F-250 to the list now that I’m driving it. I’ve spent the last 3 years building the flatbed, peeping it for paint and to many other things to list. this was the truck when I first bought it. 1
