Had to give my Focus ST back last week.

I'm gonna miss it.

Damn shame they stop production of these in 2025😐

It is sad that Ford has stopped selling "cars" in North America, except for the huge 2-passenger thing that the Mustang has become. Yes, I understand that it is an extremely capable sports car for the price, but they aren't for me anymore.

The last year of the Focus here was 2018. Ford retooled the plant to build the Ranger and Bronco which I am sure enrich Ford's coffers much more than than the Focus did. Ford was planning on importing and selling the next generation sedan and Active crossover/wagon here, but the politics and economics around imported lower-priced cars got in the way, so they never made it here.

I would so rock this one if it was available here. Power, looks, practicality.

Why did you have to give this up?

They make so much more money selling us F150's.

Don't think I've shared this. It's my 'new' Lexus RX350. Last July we passed the old RX350 to our son and his new family and found this one. It's a 2019 with 48k miles on it still with some warranty and full maintenance done when we picked it up. We looked at Highlanders and such but they were strangely about the same price. Two weeks after we got it we drove from the Hill Country in Texas to Orlando for my wife's business convention, then on down to the Keys, before heading back to Texas. The car never missed a beat in that 4500 miles.

My new work ride. This one will live with me for the next year or so. Or until someone buys it, then I get to build a new one for myself.

2022 F350 Lariat with our AT44 package. Those tires are 44" diameter, and 19.5" wide. The wheels are our new 3-piece aluminum, 17" x 15".

Just traded my '13 Tundra in on

A leftover 2024 F250.  Do a bit of towing and Toyota no longer offers a V8, so went with the Ford.

Nice to see an actually capable custom truck. Not a mall crawling bro-dozer. Very cool truck.

Yeah, these are definitely designed for the commercial market.

Believe it or not, only 3 inches of lift over stock on this truck. Then added a lot of clearance to the front wheel wells; cut the fenders, firewall, cab mounts, front body mounts, etc.

This one has a trailing arm rear suspension with air ride, but we have since upgraded to our own 4-link system with air ride.

We can run these tires at 1 psi, giving us 5 psi of ground pressure, allowing this beast to "float" on snow.

And last week, I found some late season snow in northern Alberta.

Well though out and capable truck. That picture looks awesome. I had the unfortunate experience of building my brothers 2020 f150. The whole time I reminded him that this was a bad idea. It's all "looks" and noise, no real performance gains. Your truck looks awesome.

Hi,

My daily driver is a silver 2021 Ford F150 XLT Supercab.  As I've done for the last 25 years, I ordered it thru the local dealership.  As it was my second F150, I had a good feel for what I wanted.  So I added on the nav system, locking rear axle, Sport interior, and the 2.7 dual turbo mill.  One other option was the 36 gal fuel tank.  Yup, it was a $450 add on, but it has saved my butt during two hurricanes and a few long trips.  Normally, I only hit the local Exxon/Mobil once a month.

Now I'm not saying its perfect, but it is the best all around vehicle I've owned.  Heck, every few months I'll get on the Ford website and "build a Ford" and I keep coming to something similar to what I already have.

You definitely have no need to upgrade your truck! A 2025 is really no better or different than your 2021. A few cosmetics things, a few options changes, but basically it would be the same truck. For more money!

A lot of people are totally turned off by the 2.7 Ecoboost. I spent 3 years as Fleet Manager for a local dealer, and those things would just sit and sit. The only time they sold was during Covid when they were all that was left on dealer lots!

It's too bad though, because they'll do everything that most truck owners want in a truck, and will save people a few grand in cost.

What is this "Ordered" thing that you speak of? Where I live, the dealers (pretty much all brands) look at you like you suddenly grew a second head if you don't want to buy one of the 35 identically equipped silver units they have on the lot. And I am talking about managers and dedicated internet folks, not the hired yesterday lot lizard who was "up" when I hit the parking lot.

I did have a Subaru internet manager tell me that he could get me what I wanted in about 6 weeks. I really liked him and the dealership has a great reputation. I was about to pull the trigger when I found exactly what I wanted 150 miles away. I even got a $250 discount over what everyone else was quoting back of invoice because my ZIP code was far enough out of the area to qualify as a "conquest" sale or some such nonsense. More than paid for AMTRAK, a cab, and fuel for the return trip. Plus, the smile on my face climbing the Altamont Pass in a Turbo car = priceless.

We got our 2018 Focus from the most local dealer because he was willing to dealer trade from about 300 miles away.

I know you're being facetious, but as a former dealer sales person and manager, I am confident that people would be shocked by the number of people I've dealt with over the years that had no idea they could order exactly what they want. Or the number of people that have been told by other dealers that factory ordering is "custom" and would have a custom order surcharge. Which is 100% baloney. And of course a lot of people that just absolutely cannot wait 8-10 weeks to get exactly what they want, so they settle for something that is available immediately. And part of that is the dealer's fault, because they would rather sell you something from stock and get it off the books immediately. They want to get paid immediately. As a sales person, I never cared about that. I was getting paid one way or the other, so might as well give the customer the experience and the vehicle they want.

Never ordered a car... a couple times I bought new off the lot from inventory--though one was a dealer demo w/ 3500 miles, so technically used.  My two most recent cars were CPOs..I've had good luck w/ low mileage 3-5 yr old CPOs--clean and loaded but depreciated.
